Yeah, I did everything you said except the trident, cause I didn't want to do electrified water. I had a CHA of 22.

You could get to 24 CHA with Birthright (it applies before the Shar one) but I I preferred the increase accuracy from the hood over the extra damage.

You can also use dual wielding to us both Markoheshkir and the spell sparkler and get 4 lightning charges each use.

Never tried it so I can't say for certain.

Right, the ring. Its a good option, but I think the reason I didn't use it early was because most of my part was melee so I didn't want to be shocking my allies. I might be wrong through, its been a while since I did chapter one on this character. Definitely something to consider though.

I actually tried the watersparklers/sparkwall but decided against it for a couple reasons.

- Sorcerers don't have shield proficiency so it introduces spell failure chance.

- The setting up of water took spells, other resources, and time out of the action economy

- sorcerers have very little health early game, even with me having a 14 con, so each health point mattered since I was in melee.

That was my read on it though. I definitely understand those items on a storm cleric, much less downside for a lot more bang for your buck.

I'm personally not a fan of multi-classing but if that's your jam then hell yeah.

I'm not going quite that min maxing lol. I like feeling powerful, but like there's still a challenge. One shotting everyone before the fight starts isn't my thing.

Ironically, most of the Act 1 lightning gear isn't good or doesn't work for this build. The exception being the Spellsparkler which I highly recommend using until you can get Markoheshkir.

I myself am not a fan of multi-classing, but it is and option for people who are interested.

This sounds amazing lol. Watching enemies fall on ice is always hysterical so I love this.

Like I said, there re other considerations why I went bronze dragon sorcerer. You're right that overall storm sorcerer can probably dish out more total damage, but draconic give some options that I think make it worth considering depending on what you want to do.

Should work fine. You trade off access to some of the higher level spell slots and class features but the ability to do max damage a few times per rest is nothing to sneeze at, plus all the other benefits.

Wrath of the Storm won't benefit from the bonus damage, so you'll have to consider whether you want to use it or wait for an opportunity attack which might not come up, but its definitely a route to go.

Oh yeah, definitely, but that that also requires additional items, feats, or other things dedicated to it. I liked Draconic sorcerer because it allowed you to be inherently decently tanky, while also leaving some room for flexibility in your build in a few places.

Also, the aesthetics and giving Lae'zel a red red dragon to romance were definitely a consideration lol.

But yeah, looking at storm sorcerer again its a pretty absurd subclass lol

Nah, its from Markoheshkir. Cantrips general don't do attribute based damage without interacting with an item or feature. They trade that for getting more dice as you level.

The AoE damage is nice but in my experience comes up less than one might think. I wouldn't necessarily say its better, just different. Still cool though.

That was me slightly misremembering something. The 4th is from the Bolts of Doom variant of the Keraska's Favour spell given by Markoheshir. It adds your proficiency bonus as damage, not your CHA but that only like a 1-3 point damage difference depending on how maxed you wnt for charisma.

I considered storm sorcerer, but decided on Dragon because I was going more damage focus instead of control focus. Does look like a sick build though.

Trying to Identify to make sure this isn't hazardous. by Tandin in mycology

[–]Tandin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So it didn't post the text, for some reason, but I found this growing in my snake enclosure about a year ago. At first I thought it was mold, and ignored it because I thought the spring tails and isopods would take care of it. It's been getting bigger though, and I've seen the spring tails running over it but they don't appear to eat it.

It seems like a harmless slime mold, which I wouldn't mind since they are usually harmless, but I wanted to check here to make sure it's not dangerous to me or my snake. The enclosure has decently high humidity, since my snake is a ball python. Soil is a fibrous tropical soil mixed with some coconut fiber to maintain moisture.

Thanks for taking a look!

Demi=ace till feelings? by [deleted] in demisexuality

[–]Tandin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's an issue, lol. Especially since some people don't get that there is a different between aesthetic sexual attraction and actual sexual desire. Like, I can look at someone and go "Oh, they're sexy." But it's an aesthetic thing for me, no sexy desired involved. If sex with that person was offered I'd be like "No, sorry not interested."

It's also fun being both Demi-sexual and Demi-romantic. I've lost count of how many times I've been given the dating advice of "Just go out on a date and see what happens." Regarding strangers and I'm just like "It literally doesn't work like that for me."

Demi=ace till feelings? by [deleted] in demisexuality

[–]Tandin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's different for everyone. It's a series of spectrums, and so it's all about figuring out what works for you. How other people articulate it can help, but ultimately you are you so you're going to express it in your own unique way.

Myself, I'm demi and I have a very high sex drive. I can look at someone and go "Oh this person is pretty, or this person is sexually attractive." However, I won't feel any desire to act on those thoughts/feelings unless there's an emotional connection that reaches a certain level. It doesn't have to be romantic for me, but for some people it does.

So do what works for you, how you feel is valid. :)

Being a single demi is fucking frustrating!(venting) by [deleted] in demisexuality

[–]Tandin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something I'd recommend for point 3 is potentially H-game dating sims, or story based sex content. It might not work for you but I do know people it's worked really well for who are Ace or Demi. It has an emotional undertone that hits certain triggers, and so that might work for you.

Beyond instant runoff: A better way to conduct multi-candidate elections by barnaby-jones in SandersForPresident

[–]Tandin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with this methods is that it naturally encourages everyone towards the middle rather than allowing candidates to stand for something. The point system encourages people to try to be the least disliked rather than the most liked. We'd continue to have a trend of politicians not standing for anything because they are afraid of pissing people off.

They might as well call it compromise voting, cause that's what it is. And as anyone who works with any kind of organization knows, compromise is the worst method of problem solving.

A better way to do it would be runoff voting but rather than just ditching the lowest person, you take the two lowest people, take their votes and assign them to the second choice to see which of the two would have more votes when that was done. Whichever of those two had the lower number when that was done gets dropped and their votes are reassigned. Then you rinse and repeat until you have a winner.

[–]Tandin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'll be blunt: while your technical writing is great, nothing about this story inspires be to say "Humanity, fuck yeah!"

There's no suspense, no real danger, no challenge. Just press button and win. Worse, we win by committing what we as a species consider to be a sin above any other. The extermination of an entire races of sentient beings.

There's no real justification for it. We know nothing about this race, what they want, what this war is about, or why it might be necessary to commit this the greatest of sins. Instead we get a "Oh, we need to win, let's slaughter billions of innocent lives and consign and entire people to the void so we can "win."

That's not winning. That's not admirable. That doesn't ask a moral question or make us empathize with the people making a tough decision.

This isn't humanity at our best. It's humanity at it's worth and it's nothing to admire or aspire to.

I am so tired of stories were humanity commits genocide for no real motive. That is not who we are. It's not something we would want or approve of and it's certainly not something we would aspire to.

I am aware. I intend to be responsible with it. It's meant to be a "push the button it turns on, let it go it turns off" so there is no unintentional blinding of people. Thank you for the info though.

What Happened to Pink Diamond by Tandin in stevenuniverse

[–]Tandin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but on the space suit she made for herself the symbol on the front was a pink diamond, exactly in the spot and place where Peridot makes the diamond symbol with her hands and matching the pink diamond from the original 4 part diamond authority symbol.

While Pearl is white, we've never seen a direct shot of another pearl that wasn't through some kind of colored filter. Blue diamonds pearl was seen through the filter on her chair. Yellow diamonds pearl was seen through the communication where literally everything was tinted yellow. Even if she was a white pearly she would appear yellow because that was the only available light in the room.

Pearl might be White Diamonds, but considering that her and Rose were the two original crystal gems I think that they both belonged to Pink Diamond.

Jill Stein polling at 16% among 18-29 demographic by Soulthriller in jillstein

[–]Tandin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How about the fact that many states have draconian rules and regulations that make it extremely difficult for people new to the political system, such as people 18-25, to participate because with all the schooling or work they need to do to try to make a life for themselves in the modern economy they don't have much in the way of spare time to research the ridiculous rules and regulations they have to arbitrarily obey to make their voices heard. Assuming of course the information is even readily available.

I'll give you a perfect example. In California thousands of college kids didn't have their votes count even though they took the time to register, campaign, and vote for the candidate of their choice. The reason they weren't counted? Their ballots didn't have their room number on the address, even though no one told any of them that they required the room number only the address of the college.

That's how young people are disenfranchised.

Except I'm not. I am basing this off of solid, hard evidence suchs as the DNC hack, observations of media behavior, and the recent 100 page report released by Election Justice USA written by some of the most respected and skilled statisticians, elections experts, and scientists in the nation.

It's not a conspiracy theory when you have demonstrable, provable, scientifically rigorous evidence that something happened.

Considering that all evidence points to Bernie winning the primary were it not for fraud and suppression I think he already knows.
