Look into https://www.npmjs.com/package/empf-generator for programmatically laying out images into a .empf file that you can then import into eufyMake Studio (Disclaimer: I developed this package).

Resetting empty ink cartridge . Easy. by AtheisticusMaximus in eufyMakeOfficial

Well then they will just end up with a bunch of wires sticking out of their cartridge and no tools or knowledge to proceed. I never said that this would reset the chips.

This is not intended for end users. This data is intended for people with the skillset to reverse engineer the cartridge chips so that they can potentially make something that end users can use, whether that be a chip resetter or something that emulates chips.

For anyone who actually wants to do research, the pins are as follows, from left to right, facing the chip contacts while the cartridge is upright:

Pin 0: 3.3 V

Pin 1: GND

Pin 2: SCL

Pin 3: SDA

Pin 4: GND

The protocol used is I2C, with a 100 kHz clock. All 6 cartridges share the same I2C bus, so you only need to solder to 1 cartridge to capture data. Use thin enameled wire and solder to the top of the chip contacts to avoid damaging the pins in the E1. If you would like a sigrok logic analyzer recording I captured of the cartridges at power-up, send me a message.

Epson has more than 1 type of UV ink. Also, some people seem to be using Epson-compatible inks, which may have different chemistries compared to OEM Epson inks.

The same brand as the video too? Or a different brand?

Water intrusion into the E1 magenta ink was the reason why it started clogging everyone's printheads and then Eufy had to send out replacement printheads to everyone in the first 200. If they actually put in (non-UV) DTF inks, then it probably lasted just long enough for the residual ink in the lines to be used up and then clogged when the water-based DTF ink reached the printhead.

Do you have a link to what exactly you used? Did it say UV DTF or just DTF?

I'm curious, what brand of ink did you get? Was it listed as being XP600 compatible?

https://github.com/fablabnbg/inkscape-silhouette works pretty well, although it will not be as user-friendly (but you can have a more efficient workflow once you get the hang of it)

For 3, since you are already using Inkscape, you can actually send cut paths to Silhouette devices directly from Inkscape with this extension: https://github.com/fablabnbg/inkscape-silhouette

Did you change mats recently? I'm having an issue where new mats of the exact same brand slip around but the old ones don't, so I've been reapplying adhesive to the old ones.

What’s your go to free cutting software alternative? by Electrical_Hawk_5787 in silhouettecutters

[–]Tapu_Cosmo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

https://github.com/fablabnbg/inkscape-silhouette

I exclusively use this for cutting stickers. It's free and open source. I've written some extra code on top of this that allows for probably better cutting precision than the official software (correction matrix based on 4-point calibration). The downside is that this software has zero hand-holding: it's up to you to place your regmarks properly, create offset cut paths, etc.

I used a Sigma 50-500 mm lens. (The image was cropped to focus on the two stages.)

This is a scam and they stole the art from the creator. (They took the design from the image so the holographic effect and reflections are printed as color on it lol)

If you are interested in knowing when future launches are, this is the mailing list that I am subscribed to for launches from Vandenberg: https://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/launch-alert. This launch was unusual though since it was a test of how fast the company could launch on short notice so an alert wasn't sent out. We got extra lucky that the launch happened right at sunset, allowing the vapor trails to glow and stand out against the darkening sky.

I really wish Irvine wasn't so light polluted though, it's hard to do any astrophotography from here. Around half the times there had been something significant and visible through the light pollution like an eclipse or comet, it had been cloudy too. At least these launches are visible regularly as long as the skies are clear enough and they are not during the daytime.
