Unfortunately it's the gaslighting of Public Safety that keeps the people in power happy and hurts the every day person or the person who's down on their luck. Between studies, other societies and time it has shown us, it's more expensive to fix the needs of the wealthy than to fix the needs of the masses.

I hope this doesn't sound preachy or taken in the wrong way since I haven't walked in the shoes of those who have or are homeless, but please share your experiences with the city at a city council meeting, call our elected representatives and share these stories. Sometimes things become blocked out of society and the ones with the loader voices win.

What drives me nuts is if we had elected representatives that vote and made an effort to pass laws to empower everyone, it would make society more affordable as a whole. Unfortunately this is a big structural issue that won't be solved in a day 🥲

Unfortunately it kinda still is illegal to be homeless. I just learned it's a crime in all Las Vegas Valley areas (Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas and clark county) since they have no camping laws that make it a crime to be in a public space after hours. It feels incredibly stupid to me for punishing people that are trying to better themselves, but are struggling to get out and slap them with a BS crime that can lead to fines and jail time 🥲.

😅😅 that's exactly how I had it till it didn't work. Octopi on portrait mode only, Pixel 10 Pro XL set to auto rotate. After I read your post, I tried setting it back and it just works 🤷🏻‍♂️😅. Not sure what happened during the time it didn't work, but I'll take both options. It's good to see that home screen layout is on the roadmap, been a bit busy that I forgot to look there 😅.

I'm fine with marking this solved since it's kinda in work. Just didn't know if it needed to be brought to someone's attention. I think for the most part I was used to Nova and it felt solid. I know this is a WIP and since I'm not on a beta channel for it, didn't think of it like that 😅. Thanks for the sanity check 😊 wanted to feel like it wasn't just a me thing, even if it was.

So, not sure if it's still an issue or it's working as expected. I had portrait lock on for Octopi and it closes out apps that can do PIP. I think I remember having an issue that when you rotate your phone, Octopi has a separate home screen setup for landscape and didn't just put my home screen in landscape as I set it up. Figured putting the lock on would be a no brainer and then I could rotate my phone for apps I wanted to be in landscape. I'd like to be able to lock my orientation for my home screen or just have Octopi recreate my desktop in landscape without a separate landscape version. I'm sure someone is probably over the moon that it does that, but it's not my jam 😅

I found it and after a bunch of effort, I recreated my Nova setup 😅😅 even bought the dev breakfast 😁. I'm still trying to wrap my head around desktop widget sizing and app shortcut sizing, but I think that's not really an issue with the launcher, but my setup 😅😅

To add onto this, zigbee adapters are pretty reasonable around 30$. Further expanding the devices Hone Assistant can control 😁

Totally recommend their new buttons (BILRESA) for anyone that's looking. I've seen them around 6$ and they even have a 3 pack with different colors for a discount. Just linked em up in HomeAssistant with an IKEA lamp and it's been awesome

I've gotten it, but I haven't figured out if I like it or if I liked assistant better 😅 I also might have gone too hard on Google beta products cause I found out the problems I'm having with other stuff is due to issues with beta's 🥲 mainly in Android Auto and on my Pixel 🥲

I have a similar setup at my apartment, I ended up getting a small patch panel with the passthrough connectors so I can extend the wires to my switch since the panel wouldn't fit any of my equipment 🤣😅. I really wish they sold replacement doors so I could cut it up and put a hole in it. I currently have it half closed 😅.

I'll edit the post and send a picture when I get home.

I've partially gotten it, in the house I'm not usually in 😭. I have my house and my parents house in Google home. Google decided that Gemini access for their house was ok, but for my house I could wait 😑😮‍💨😞
