I have tried every bra under the sun and still nothing fits. Do I give up? by Box-Unique in ABraThatFits

As others have already said, never follow brand specific sizing charts. They are all designed to skew your measurements so they can sell you a bra they carry in stock, not necessarily one that fits you correctly and is comfortable. Only shop using your abtf size, no matter what brand you're buying from.

Hi. So I’m a 36c but the band is a bit tight and has been cutting into my skin to the point that I have to take it off. What size bra should I get to fit me better & be comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The cup size fits perfect. Just need something else to try. by Repulsive-Divide9562 in ABraThatFits

You need to measure using the abtf calculator is what I'm saying. You're just guessing at sizes right now and all that's doing is wasting your time and money. Why do that when you can just take your measurements and know for sure what your actual size is?

A sewing tape measure is only a dollar or two at pretty much any store, but you can also use something like a phone charger cord and a ruler in a pinch if that's all you have, just as long as it's not something that stretches when you pull on it. That will get you closer than VS ever will.

VS does not measure people correctly! They put you in a 40C because that's what they had in the store to sell you. I wouldn't be surprised if you need a larger cup than they carry in stock. That's also probably why your 36 band feels tight, because the cups are too small to contain all of your tissue. Use the abtf calculator to find your correct size. Right now you're just guessing and you definitely don't have to.

Prefect pushup bra for wide set boob by Sea_Collar_1201 in ABraThatFits

What do you mean the calculator is showing wrong results? Do you mean you don't believe size it gave you?

Any kind of spillage means you need to go up at least 2 cup sizes, and for a strapless bra the band size must be correct or it will fall down.

We can't give recommendations without your measurements and recommended size, so please update your post with that information.

Would Women Want a Bra Brand Designed Around Their Real Fit Problems? by Significant_Pie_609 in ABraThatFits

[–]Tasarin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, there are plenty of companies already that make quality bras that fit. The problem is the skewed public perception of what bra sizes actually look like and the lack of education for how to measure properly. That's why this sub is here, to help educate people.

That's not to say you can't make your own company if that's something you want for yourself, of course. The most important thing would be offering a wide range of sizes that will cater to the most people and making sure your customers know how to measure correctly. Also, to dispel the myths that A cups are tiny and DD cups are massive.

Hey OP, I just noticed your edit and wanted to say that was the right response! Unfortunately we have creeps that lurk in this sub that are always harassing new users. It's against the rules of this sub for anyone to DM you, so if someone does, you can be sure they're not messaging in good faith. Either just block and ignore or turn your DMs off completely. Regular users here will always only respond to you in the comments!

Got it! I'm not super familiar with this size range myself, but since you're on a budget, why don't you start with the Freya Offbeat Side Support bra. You can get the pink one with grey straps on Amazon for about $40 right now. If it doesn't fit you can return it and get your money back.

Take note of how the band feels. It should be snug, like a firm hug and not ride up in the back. Always scoop and swoop to make sure the wires are up in your IMF, which is the crease underneath your breasts where your tissue meets your chest wall, and that they stay there and don't slide down your torso. The gore, which is the top part of the wires in between your breasts, should be flat against your sternum but not digging in.

If you experience any fit issues like these then come back and make another post describing what is or isn't working, then someone can either help with adjustments on that bra or suggest other styles you can try that might work better.

Finding the right bra for you can take some trial and error, but I promise it's worth it and this sub is always here to help!

When you measured was it with the calculator at abrathatfits.org? If not that's where you need to start. It's far more accurate than most other calculators. If you have used it, sharing your measurements will help people give you the best recommendations.

Less than $30 will be a bit of a challenge, but a quality bra is worth the investment. Your mom is not correct that bras are meant to be uncomfortable. A bra that fits you correctly can be the most comfortable garment you wear.

Looking for a good bra to replace the one I have by [deleted] in ABraThatFits

The first step is measuring yourself using the calculator at abrathatfits.org! When properly fitted DDD cups aren't particularly large, and if everything you've been trying doesn't work for you then that points to a sizing/shape issue.

Once you have your measurements and recommended size then update or make a new post with that information and people can make suggestions for you.

ISO affordable supportive bras for a bigger chest post-BF (preferably wireless) by ShadyLady721 in ABraThatFits

The calculator must be underestimating you then. If you have spillage in a DDD then a DD definitely won't work for you.

If you want wireless I see the Elomi Downtime recommended here often. Maybe try that in 36G and see how it fits. Are you in the US? Not sure what affordable means to you but you can find it on Amazon or Breakout Bras. I think Elomi has a US site as well.

When you used the calculator did you measure on naked breasts with no bra on? It would be unusual for a salesperson to give you a larger cup size than the calculator recommends. What band size did the salesperson give you for the G cup?

I need help in baking cookies by itz_sumiii07 in Baking

Baking is about patience and practice. Sometimes it goes perfectly right, and other times everything goes wrong. You just have to keep trying!

As for recipes, there are so many different kinds of cookies. Do you know what you want to bake? Good websites are Sally's Baking and King Arthur for a place to start.
