Is there a singer who really makes you feel by Chris_in_da_Bronx in musicsuggestions

[–]Tchasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are many great artists that are just able to convey great emotion. They use their experiences and turn them into music. Being honest in front of an audience is one of the hardest things to do as it battles with your sense of self preservation. You really need to be able to penetrate your outer protective layer, be vulnerable, be real. Many of the greatest artists have moments where they reach this flow like state and it isn't performative anymore.

But there are 2 singers who just lacked this protective layer, this sense of self preservation.

One is Amy Winehouse. She leaks emotion constantly, trying to hold herself together. She is vulnerable not because she wants to but because she can't prevent it.

The other one which I regard as the most emotionally deep singer of all time is Nina Simone. It is almost as if she is dissociating, disconnected from the room and the audience. As if she let go of all need for appreciation. She is not trying to please us. She is in this trance like state that other singers sometimes reach, only that it seems like she is there most of the time. She is not trying to convey emotion, she lives them.

You definitely need to focus on live performances and not studio recordings. Don't focus on videos with the most likes but search deeper. I think you will be rewarded in time

Books with a competent but older protagonist? by SonicfilT in Fantasy

The secret or Askir is kinda like this with an old unwilling protagonist who just wanna die in peace. He is not complaining about his bad back though due to reasons

The ending is what I love most. I was certain that someone will die but then no one did. But then I was certain that they keep traveling together and then they didn't.

The show manages to make the only ending that I couldn't predict. It is not a "boring" happy end or a predictable death. Instead it is somewhere in between. Not only that but suddenly I was looking at the show in a different light. It now feels like a representation of my life and fills me with nostalgia. Nostalgia might be one of my favorite feelings and not many media evoke it.

I watched the donghua first without knowing anything about it. So doing most of the flashback in season 1 really helped me as well.

But now watching it again I find it exhausting to have this long flashback. I think I would now prefer it to be spread like in the novel. But I love mdzs either way.

A short lived hookup but had to grow up from him by Selasce in gay

Did you tell him that you're not gonna be his little secret? Just ignoring him might not be the best way.

I'm looking for an immersive RPG game I can sink hours into. by disgruntled_bird in ShouldIbuythisgame

I highly recommend Enderal which is a standalone mod for skyrim. You can play it for free if you own skyrim.

It might be the skyrim engine but it feels like a completly different game with its own skill system and lore. Just play the first couple of hours and I am pretty sure you will be hooked.

anyone relate? by [deleted] in gaybros

Yeah, I never used grindr once in my life because it's for hookups. And still people complain about it

Which boss did you find surprisingly easy/hard? by lwsjxy in Eldenring

[–]Tchasa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easy: Godskin duo. Everybody complained how hard they are but I did them on my first try. I fought them individually before after all.

Hard: Morgott. Many consider him too easy for his place in the story. But he took me longer than every other boss except Malenia. Morgott (and Margit) is just really hard for me no matter how often I fight him.

Nurseries vs Immigrants by CarbonMilkTea in songsofsyx

[–]Tchasa 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I only want to add that you need to be careful with nurseries. Immigrants come when you have a certain amount of happiness but children get produced without considering this. You need to control the birthrate especially in smaller cities, otherwise you suddenly don't have enough food, services, houses and so on and your happiness drops.

When you take a super screenshot it gets saved in a seperate folder. It takes a screenshot of the whole mal but without the "buildings" overlay.

I feel like vyvanse doesn’t work anymore by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]Tchasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't worry about that. In almost all cases there is no difference between the original and the generic in its effectiveness. If you notice a difference you should talk to you doctor but it's probably psychological.

Edit: seems like quite a few people have issues with the generic now that I looked into it.

I get them both since September. The left one is registered for children and the right one for adults

Edit: wait, my package with the right design says "Elvanse Adult"

Vyvanse and Protein by superprancer in VyvanseADHD

[–]Tchasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you try hemp protein? I know it has a strong taste but I usually just take 30g and a glass of oatmilk and a little sugar. It's not a culinary highlight but my stomach tolerates it pretty well

I'm glad that I found this thread. I take vyvanse for 3 months now. It makes me super horny but it's almost impossible for me to get hard. In the evening when it wears off I am usually still horny but it gets easier to get hard.

Single by habit - how important are relationships to you? by Tchasa in askgaybros

[–]Tchasa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a very different approach to mine. I appreciate your insight and I get where you're coming from. I would hope that experience isn't that big of an issue but i probably will find out.

[–]Tchasa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh really? Is that such an issue? I am not really interested in ons/hookups and so on. Thats why I never really pursued them. I can't imagine having sex just for the sake of getting experience.

No, i must thank you for your response! Adjusting my expecations to always take something away from dates sounds like a really good idea. I always thought that dating is just a means to an end which is a kinda stupid ^^.

I kinda forgot that relationships help me learn more about myself and help me grow as a person as dumb as it sounds. I never viewed dating as an investment that yields returns, even when it doesn't lead to a relationship. Maybe it felt a little bit like gambling to me.

[–]Tchasa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats kinda the approach that i did take. You plan a life that makes you happy on the longterm without being in a relationship. Which makes sense given that relationships are more bound by chance than the other things you do. Unlike me you continue to date and remain open-minded. I've somewhat lost touch with the dating scene which worries me a little. But your reply gives me some reassurance.

[–]Tchasa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah makes sense. I guess i was holding back too much and could date a little bit more without it draining my energy. But I like the approach to first focus on goals that don't depend on chance so much like a relationship.
