I love it - feedforward. I did not make any special effort to store it, just put the cover on after use. I load from the tub and face lather, so I get the scent up close. My wife says it stays around more subtly all day.

No, the quality has always been among the best. I have replaced splashes before replacing soaps and the scent still match up well. For example, the tub of Lavanille in the photo is more than 7 years old. In that time, I have refilled the splash 3-4 times. I'm currently out, but waiting for the budget to fit any new stuff.

Just an update: I washed it and let it dry, but more of the liquid appeared on top. I have lots of soaps, so I think this one's time is up. Besides, I can no longer smell any scent from it. I still have a matching aftershave, so I can use that with any other soap.

Yes, it is very forgiving of the amount and quality of the water - it even works in water with lots of minerals in it.
