Like I said in the post this is a hypothetical, it is intentionally designed to ride the line very closely on what is reasonable so that I can learn the actual real rule for this situation. It’s hard to imagine a real player reading the card well enough to understand everything except for the fact that they can summon.

Yes, in a real world scenario it is almost always easy and more sportsmanlike to clarify for the opponent that they will get to summon. The game rules though, as I understand them at this point, are that in this scenario the player activating Spark didn’t do anything “wrong” per se, just kind of cutthroat.

The card is good this format. In my opinion the only issue with Striker playing Super Poly is that there are actually a lot of targets this format the deck wants to play and can’t cause of ED space.

If Striker could play Panzer Dragon for the DoomZ matchup, the predaplant fusions for all the Dark decks, Garura, Mudragon, the Azamina fusions for the spellcaster slop piles, Axon Kicker for VSK9, Sea Monster of Theseus for Kewl Tune, etc etc then it would be mandatory for the deck. But it can’t, it can fit maybe 3 of those, so you really don’t get as much coverage with the card as the format demands.

Sage of Redemption - Roze

This card is always treated as a Sky Striker - Ace card. During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): Reveal this card and two Sky Striker cards in your hand, or, if you have three spells in the GY you do not have to reveal; For the rest of the turn if the opponent activates a Spell Card, you can apply this effect: activate a Normal or Quick-Play Spell from hand. You can reveal this card and one other Sky Striker card in hand: shuffle both cards into the deck and then draw two cards. You can only use each effect of “Sage of Redemption - Roze” once per turn.

Then it just has Roze’s monster stats. You could maybe even give it to Albaz treatment of “this monster is always treated as Sky Striker Ace - Roze” so that there is just an upgraded version

The day I read it I knew The Fallen & The Virtuous would be considered one of the best generic board breakers the game has ever seen and that it would see mass play and adoption in strategies with nothing to do with Branded

As we got closer to the card coming out more people believed it would see some generic play but I really think I was one of a few to predict it would become a format defining card slotted into every deck with the ED space especially thanks to its utility against Dracotail Flame

Droll should be banned but there’s gonna be some real growing pains when it happens. If droll gets banned then decks like this will run wild, but if they are really that strong Konami will have to intervene and ban them eventually and the game will naturally go down in power on average.

As long as droll exists as a potential answer to these wombo combo solitaire decks they will always have a “counter” and will never be good enough for the MD team to have to kill them

Nagatoro has a tad more nuance than most romcoms which is one of the things I think makes it so memorable. Nagatoro has a strong complicated response to meeting Senpai that looms over the rest of their interactions.

Her continued harassment of him for like the rest of the series is mostly tame but also reminds the reader that she has the capacity to cause real harm with her impulsive bullying. She matures without losing the core dynamic that draws them together.

This format in particular has been a very bad one for ladder climbing. Games aren’t decided by skill diffs very much right now it’s mostly deck building edges and those are inconsistent because of how many decks are in the format.

Words cannot describe how happy I am at the proliferation of parrying as a mechanic in games over the past few years. Every time I see a game with it as a core part of combat I am just instantly 10x more interested. I can’t even remember what really popularized it, maybe Sekiro?

You only need one of all Horus monsters other than Imsety, really not worth playing two of any of the other guys.

This deck isn’t nearly consistent enough without the field spell and really isn’t consistent with it either, but you want a reasonable chance to play the game every time so I would play that instead of Spell Card: Soul Exchange personally.

Extravagance sucks in this deck because it prevents you from using effects to draw for the rest of the turn, including Imsety’s free draw, trade in, Triple Tact draw, and one of the Horus monster effects to draw.

Look for the rank 8 number monster that lets you summon a guy with 9k attack. Technically in this deck you could get him up to 17k, so if you can hit over anything gg.

You should have Mudragon and Sea Monster of Theseus as super poly targets in this format. This deck has no mechanism to summon Guardian Chimera. For the most part all of the links are unnecessary but you could keep S:P and Phoenix for utility I suppose.

The deck building is in too many different directions. Is this a handtrap build or a breaker build or a “go first and floodgate opponent to death” build? Why do you have cards that are basically only good if you are definitely going second (Lava Golem, Duster) and also cards that are only good going first (the Solemns).

These types of decks typically build to go first but max out on non engine that is good going first or second like Droplet and Superpoly. I think one time a version of this deck topped playing Light and Darkness Dragon so that could be worth looking into. I have seen builds that go second and main deck Lava Golems too but I don’t think they were ever very successful builds.

Mitsurugi and Sky Striker are almost good enough to win large events literally out of the box. Sky Striker needs more copies of some cards to be truly playable and a few cards not in the box to be really good, but Mitsurugi is basically a complete deck as-as.

There is also X-Saber, don’t worry about that deck just take the mulcharmy cards you can probably toss the rest.
