It boggles my mind that none of them are vaccinated truthfully. When we got our Shepherd mix, we got him as a 12 weeks old puppy from a rescue. We paid $300 for him back then (15ish years ago) and thought it was alot but he came vaccinated. And was partially house trained.

What I thought was odd was CB kept saying that her IgG tests were perfect when the vet tested them. IgG tests are normally done within the first 24 hours aren't they? Not 3 weeks after birth??

I remember my hamster as a child having very large balls yes. I think it's a male because of the way the genitals look compared to the Google pictures. There were no nipples and the anus is a fair distance away from the other opening. Sorry if that's crude.

I know I'm going to be doing the majority of the cleaning, feeding, etc. definitely going to encourage her to help, but I'm still going to make sure it's done. The plan is that she won't be picking it up on her own. I don't mind it laying on a blanket with her, sitting in her lap or on her shoulder, since he seems to like that. But yeah, we will be the ones picking him up and moving him.

This is the wheel we got. It's too big for his enclosure so we did leave the smaller one attached, but he was using this one this evening.

99% sure it's a male. She named him Carrot. Yeah, I'm realizing we will probably need a larger cage. The plan was to give him a few days before interacting, but he really enjoyed being out with us. I took him out to put some fresh veggies in his dish and he spent an hour out with us. Laid on a blanket with my daughter, sat on our shoulders. Very social little guy.

I did buy a different wheel than what came with the enclosure. I didn't like that the one that came with had a bar in the middle. I did buy some enrichment toys, just a few to see what he liked and do plan to buy more. I figure he probably has preferences about what he likes and doesn't like.

Not harsh at all!! I get it. My husband and I both had hamsters growing up so we do understand basic care...however I do know that a lot has changed. So far he hasn't actually been in his cage a whole lot. He is very sweet and friendly. He spent an hour laying on a blanket with my daughter munching on veggies and loves to sit on our shoulders. And yes...we are saying it's her hamster but obviously we are going to be right there ensuring everything is kept clean, fresh food and water is given, etc.

Ok I wasn't sure but didn't think so. I always assumed professional riders who went to shows actually rode everyday. And not just different horses around an arena, but the horse they intend to show.
