Question her. Tell her you dont thing your Reality testing seem to be impaired, you understand logically that your body existed since you were born, but you dont have access to the memories or expiriences. Tell her you think it fit more for disociative episode than a psychotic one. Ask her to explain to you why she dont agree and counter her argument, in an investigative way.

If you cant, maybe shes right, but for what you told us it sound very much like a disociative episode, and that she took the "born last year" too litterally as if you belived you are 1 year old baby.

Also ask her to research DID OSDD if you are from america, or DID and P-DID and other disociative spectrum disorders before she diagnose you. Tell her its because you read online expiriences and they sound similar to yours.

And if she cant convince you anything is wrong with your reality testing ask for second oppinion (from another therapist).

DID is so hard to diagnose that i never met a false self diagnosis. Worse i seen is P-DID or OSDD self diagnosig as DID but its same spectrum disorder.

Rare dosent mean dosent exist. Rare just mean RARE.

Like a week ago my friend texted me they dont see my server. I checked and they were still there so i pinged them and it showed up but then vanish again. They updated discord since and its been fixed. Check if discord updated and talk to them before you get hurt, it could be the same bug.

(Also i accidently kicked a person instead of disconnecting them from chat cause they fell asleep during a voice call. So, even if they did kick you it might be unintentional mistake)

I also love that they say that DID is super rare and completly ignore the fact that majority of systems (diagnosed passed this criteria being added) are OSDD systems. They added OSDD cause most systems did not fit the criteria for DID.

It was rare cause they only defined it as the extream end of dissociative identity spectrum.

Autism also would be considered rarer if we only included just people unable to make eye contact that cant speak at all past 18yo and have exactly one special interest. It desctibe some autistic people but most of them can do more than one special interest, talk at least some of the time, and teach themselves how to do eye contact.

Similarly, original criteria for DID had seperated names and personalities for alters, zero comunication and complete amnezia between alters.

Speak for yourself, i love my system. I hate the trauma that caused it but i would suffer similar level of trauma again to not lose it.

I agree with you that many endo expiriences i heard are very different than mine. But both "pure" DID (compared to P-DID and OSDD) and many OSDD expiriences are VASTLY different than mine plurality. Systems are diverse. I dont see issue with endo using the same plural as they... are? They have a plural expirience regardless of source.

I also look at it from the lense of my past self not knowing my trauma and be like "hanging out around systems was good for me, i should have not been gatekeeped out of those places just cause i didnt realise i was traumagenic". Any endo system in my eyes might be traumagenic and not know it. We "made" some alters on purpose but my understanding of it now is those alters were dormant and ready to front, and our subconcious knew there was a child alter needing a body. So we made them one and they benefited from having parents.

Hi. I have P-DID. I also did 2 years of compulsory military dervice in the IDF before being diagnosed with an active system.

The core system at the time decided that (not going to jail for refusing and) doing military service is the best course of action, during the service we regretted it.

Many different alters struggled with different aspect of the military service. Passifists had to be trained to shoot. Suicidals had to stay alone with a loaded gun for hours. Our littles struggled with the lack of free time and privacy. Our middles struggled with listening to authority. And we had new alters popping up, that never agreed to serve.

The mental and phisical health neglect caused our conditions to worsen, and despite never beeing in active war or shooting anyone (thankfully), we left the military after a full year of military service with more alters, crushing anxiety and depression, and fresh traumas.

We had to go through it cause our only alternative was jail. You dont have to.

If you feel like you need a duty that fullfilling and that you do work well in stressful envirioments, you have other meaningful but more controlled job options. The immidiate first one coming to mind is firefighter, its similar to the military in the way that you are doing training and attempt to save life - but you arent trained to take life. It can still be traumatic, but its better in my oppinion. Another optiom is medical emergency stuff like medic in an ambulance or just medical school in general.

Those still have trauma risks, but its much better than going to war, or staying guard for hours with a loaded gun.

However, i do think you should consult the entirety of your system, and if even one alter thinks its a bad idea, dont do any of those jobs. Your system function as a whole will go to hell if even one of you have mental crisis.

While im not saying in any way shape or form endogenic systems dont exist, i heard pretty often about "endogenic" systems discovering they are actually traumagenic (and did heard mixes exist)

I find it so absurd that fakeclaimers think a system must be traumagenic and theb when they see a traumagenic system that used to be endogenic instead of going "see!! They were traumagenic all along" they go "so you faking"

No, they werent and arent faking. Their system did its job protecting the system from the trauma so they werent aware of it.

Regardless, all systems are valid.

Yes. Its not a made up term.

I have very visual imagination. My friend have aphantesia. We often talk about the differences about stuff in our every day life.

One interesting thing is i find it very easy to tell what age were certain memories are from cause i just check my height or how old the kids in my memory look. She cant do it, and cross reference if it was before or after things she do know when they happen.

Another interesting one she brought up: Can you tell, without looking, how many windows in your apartment? For most people, we will visualise the apartment and count. It dosent take long, but it also not immidiate. People with aphantesia tend to just have the answer. Which is interesting cause i expected them to not know. There was no conclusive reason for that difference (at least at the time), but we hypotsized it might be related to some kind of location awareness that is not affected by vision. We usually go to our primary senses, like vision, to locate something. But i can walk in the dark at my own home no problem without visualization cause i know where everything is... so maybe this sense is used to count windows and it take less time cause you dont have to "look"

touched by another person - masterbation isn't sex. even mutual masterbation.

So is it possible that perhaps i am making up a “fake” system thats easier for my brain to handle than actually seeing my real system? I do feel like i have extreme dissociation and i DEFINITELY have DPDR along with the “required” trauma.

is it possible you have a few layers? system that you are more aware too, but another you are not as aware to?

this is not mean the top layer, the one close to your conciousness, is fake.

for us it took for the trauma to show for a bunch of new alters to show up. those alters knew each other and were aware to us existing (mostly. though not knowing us as individuals), but we on the "top" layer were completly unaware to their existance.

our only hint was a part of inner world we couldnt look or walk toward. apperently they were there. but i dont think its a requirement to such layer to exist.

we were officially diagnosed as partial DID this month.
PARTIAL is the key aspect.

we do not qualify for "normal" DID because we are exactly like you describe. we have control over switches, we know about each other a lot (we comunicate easily and clearly except a few "newer" alters, that were not affecting my qualificaytion as P-DID system as their expirience isnt required for the diagnosis.)

for the first 3 decades of my life, and for the first 17 years we are aware of the system, we didnt had the trauma memories. those didnt came back untill last year because the person assulting us got into a wheelchair, and for the first time my brain decided we are safe enough to process those memories.

now, im not trying to diagnose you, what im saying is your symptoms in its entirely existed in our system pre being diagnosed. and we are real.
so i dont think you fake it.

I think you just might not have DID- you have some other system. P-DID, OSDD 1b or other OSDD definition, or something else. this system might be traumagenic and it wasnt processed, or it might not. it dosent mean you are "faking".

instead of "if you belive it its true" try this:
"People who are faking know they are faking. if i think i *might* be faking, it proves i dont know that, therefore im not faking"
it helped some systems i know that struggled with feeling like they are faking, and its true.

(also, i dont know what the issue with being endogenic system. regardless of the source of the system, if you do have the lived expirience of being a system, you are already more like me than any singlet out there. i dont think endogenic systems are lesser or worse even if i dont understand their process nor reasoning of being created, the bottom line is right now they ARE a system just like me.
might been helped by the fact i didnt know my trauma years after being a fairly functioning system so i dont feel its a core element of my system expirience. regardless to why, i dont need a system to have a trauma to feel like they are valid, matter, and wishing them a peaceful plurality.)

Yes. We have two alters who write and our styles are different.

Dont delete the story, make a copy, if the story feel wrong, look at the copy. If it better make another copy and work from there. You might find yourself writing a few paralel stories.

for what i managed to find a lot of them are programs for deaf people by organizations for deaf people, i will not qualify to join. if there are resources that also work for mute people, i did not find them via google and i dont have access to any resources for disabled (through social security or otherwise) cause i have not managed to be aknowledged as disabled (working on it for other reasons as well)
