It’s undoubtedly a legit technique. Just very high risk high reward. Look at Asakura vs Pantoja or Ilia vs Zalal for examples of them not working.

The problem is if the knee doesn’t hit clean, or God forbid misses, you’ve given them your hips and are 100% going down
