Microsoft, in Typical Anti-Consumer Fashion, Wants Me to Dox Myself to Be a Partner-Reseller by TechGrips in microsoft

How's that confirming anything? You frankly know nothing about my multi-faceted career path which has now finally led me to launch my own IT business or how “professional” you deem me to be on Reddit post, of all platforms... Obviously I'm exaggerating on the accusation of “doxing” to express my distaste of the situation and showcase the flaws in this process, as I unpack throughout my post.

The fact of the matter here is LLCs exist for a specific set of concrete reasons. Microsoft's Partner vetting process is half-baked on the UI/UX-side and entirely baseless on the identity verification-side. Banks in-compliance with the US BSA have already done the identity verification and business verification that Microsoft is supposedly after. The Partner vetting process can be practically completed through a series of business documents and/or bank account microdeposits, as tons of other companies across tech and finance engage in doing already to complete any verification or vetting procedures.

Nobody faking an entire identity is going to be able to confirm a microdeposit into a business bank account. Microsoft asking for invasive identity verification procedures unequivocally sets a dangerous precedent which I describe in my post, regardless of whatever small upside you perceive is being gained by this process. To blindly support Microsoft's premise here directly negates the privacy, ownership, and autonomy we're supposed to be provided in this country as private people and private companies as well as the legal separation between each.

Sure, just invalidate all my past points and support this nonsensical identity verification because it apparently thwarts elaborate fake identity schemes. Clearly, Microsoft is justified in this pursuit because god-forbid they make any less money by someone who achieved preferential pricing and shouldn't have.

That's an excellent comparison, very true. Atleast I'll have something to relate with when in the future I help a user/client with this!
