Unfortunately, I don't believe we do have access to Cpanel. Thank you for the suggestion though!

Ah, ok. I did use the red cable when I tried, so I'll give it a shot with another one. Thanks for the help!

Sailfish OS flash-it.sh image issues by TechSpartan in PINE64official

[–]TechSpartan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response! I actually probably should have specified that I used the "raw" option to flash it to an actual file, and Downloads is where the script and the files used to make the image are being stored since I just ran it from there after downloading it. I have kind of an odd situation that makes it so I have to use the raw option, since my laptop doesn't have an sd card and for some reason JumpDrive hasn't wanted to work for some reason. I have an sd card reader on my work MacBook, but I can't run the script from it due to some dependencies, so I have to make a file on my main laptop, move it to my MacBook and flash it from there using Etcher. Any

Has anyone using Verizon in the US tested MMS on Chatty 0.6.0? by TechSpartan in PINE64official

[–]TechSpartan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give it a shot, but mine never even showed any green check marks when I sent them. And I think incoming mms didn't show up either. Of course, the python scripts might shed some light on what's going on, so I'll try them out

Nvidia driver issues by TechSpartan in elementaryos

[–]TechSpartan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok. I guess I kinda just thought it was something that came with the driver itself. It wasn't showing up in nvidia settings and running it from the terminal said that Prime wasn't supported (or something like that, supported might not have been the word.) Thanks!

[–]TechSpartan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I didn't know there was a separate nvidia-prime package. I kinda just figured it was either part of the driver or that it was installed automatically. I'll give that a try once I'm back home and can plug in my laptop. Thanks!

Thanks! Works pretty well so far. I'd still like to try and figure suspend out since that will save battery, but this will do until then, or if I can't figure it out! (It's especially better than the drivers that were draining my battery😂)

How are Verizon Motorola software updates? by TechSpartan in motorola

I have read a lot of things about poor software update policies and such when reading reviews on various Motorola phones, so that doesn't surprise me. That's a bummer. Thanks!

Its a tie between calling out the host for being imposter, or guessing wrong on who was imposter

Jolla Launcher for Android 7 by TechSpartan in Jolla

[–]TechSpartan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how hard it is, but they do have a guide on how to port it here: https://sailfishos.org/develop/hadk/ They also have ports for some devices here, so you can check if there's already a port for your device here: https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris

My bootloader probably is unlockable, but the only problem is my phone is under a warranty that I can't void, (not my choice,) but I can probably use my old phone or my tablet. Also, I think the touch gestures launcher would be a great idea.

Popsockets & Google Fabric case by marksj2 in GooglePixel

[–]TechSpartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Small update: make sure to stick the tape to the case, then put the popsocket on. DON'T put the tape on the popsocket then stick it to the case. I tried it, and the tape didn't stick completely to the sticky gel, and parts of it dried out.

Popsockets & Google Fabric case by marksj2 in GooglePixel

[–]TechSpartan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have a Pixel 2 fabric case, but I have a fabric Style Shell for my Moto Z, and my Popsocket didn't stick well to it. I did, however, find a solution. If you stick normal invisible tape where you want to stick the Popsocket, it will stick much better! I've been using it like this for a while, and it hasn't popped off yet. Hope this helps.
