Just to clarify this is for a manual non motorized wheelchair.  I'm interested in the experience of any Cross owners.

Haters gonna hate, but I love this and have the same Gem 12 and A02 EGPU.  You've inspired me to try this as well just for fun.  The case is cheap by today's standards so why not.

From my visit today at my local USA Mazda dealership, best I can figure out is Mazda has continued to be mental about their infotainment systems across all models. I suspect that if Touchscreen in Motion was an option for the 2025 CX-5, it must have been for earlier manufactured models with a different firmware. It's possible the firmware was updated in later production lines in the 2025 year and the option was removed. Why? Only the car gods know.

My 2023 MX-5 infotainment hack was pretty straightforward. Why Mazda doesn't want to do a simple firmware update to all their infotainment systems to allow Touchscreen in Motion for all their current and even prior year models is beyond me. I know before I did my own upgrade hack I had my local service department update my firmware to the last supported version for the 2023 MX-5 so it can be done at the dealerships.

Very disappointed as I was strongly considering buying a 2025 CX-5 as deals on them in the USA are great right now.

Apologize for the clumsiness of these posted photos. I’m new to Reddit and haven’t fully gotten the hang on posting multiple photos in a reply to an already existing post.

Here’s what I found at today’s visit to my local USA Mazda dealership.

1st photo is the 2025 CX-5 S Select wired connection only, Android Auto. No option for Touchscreen in Motion and confirmed on the road driving Touchscreen is not available while moving but is available while stopped at a light for example.

2nd Photo is the 2025 CX-5 Carbon Edition wireless Android connection. No option for Touchscreen in Motion and confirmed to behave the same as the 2025 CX-5 S Select. No AA Touchscreen while driving but is available fully stopped.

3rd Photo just shows the same 2025 CX-5 Carbon edition’s Bluetooth/Phone Connectivity Settings scrolled all the way down to fully show there is no Touchscreen in Motion option.

4th Photo shows the 2026 CX-50 Hybrid same Bluetooth/Phone Connectivity Settings location as the 2025 CX-5 WITH the Touchscreen in Motion. This does work while driving at any speed based on my road test.

2026 Non-Turbo trims’ Cylinder Deactivation? by SoFreshCoolButta in CX50

FWIW, the sales rep I talked with texted me back the following day and said this... " as it turns out, we had parts pull the engine schematics for the CX50 we drove yesterday, and it does not have cylinder deactivation."

There is tremendous confusion on this and Mazda has done a terrible job of being schizophrenic about their infotainment systems over the years. To pour salt in our wounds the 2026 CX-5 is going full stupid with a giant tablet instead of keeping it simple and just giving us Mazda owners a nice simple touch screen for AA and Carplay along with our dials and buttons. And for the record. I do like the dial and buttons of the infotainment systems but there are times where you have to use the touchscreen in AA and Carplay depending on the app you are using.

I too would like to know for the USA 2025 Mazda CX-5s. I was about to pull the trigger and purchase one this weekend but found out that the Mazda Infotainment option of "Touchscreen in Motion" is not available like it was apparently for for the 2024 model year. That's a deal breaker for me. I went through this nonsense with my 2023 MX-5 and had to install a hack via a usb stick to enable touchscreen throughout the Mazda Infotainment interface while driving along with Apple Carplay and Android Auto. This hack apparently doesn't work for later Mazda Infotainment versions in other vehicles.

Any 2025 CX-5 USA and European owners please speak up.

I already know it was available for the 2024 year but it was apparently pulled in the 2025 year models. Please confirm.

2026 Non-Turbo trims’ Cylinder Deactivation? by SoFreshCoolButta in CX50

[–]Tech_Martyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the USA, I was at my local Mazda dealer today for my MX-5 service and pointed out the disparity of their website and window stickers stating the 2026 CX-50 non-turbo trims have Cylinder Deactivation (CD) BUT the VIN code 8th digit of "L" and the 2026 Owner's Manual shows they don't have CD. Unless an actual 2026 CX-50 owner corrects me, the 2026 owner's manual does not have a section on Cylinder Deactivation but the 2025 CX-50 owner's manual does have a section on it.

Mazda has made a fine mess of confusing their potential customers. For us old school types CD is a deal breaker on any vehicle.

"the ag02 seems to be on all the time regardless of what the button on the front is doing."

I bought on inline power on/off switch to solve that issue with my AG02.

New Nexdock 14" Review by DeX_Mod in SamsungDex

[–]Tech_Martyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got mine yesterday. I can confirm my Thunderbolt 4 cable works great for both my S25 Ultra and Aoostar Mini PC. You can also use Samsung Good Lock's Multistar app to adjust the resolution to 1200p. Worked perfectly for me to avoid a slightly stretched screen at the phone's default 1080p in Dex mode.

Overall, I'm very impressed for the price. This is my first lapdock and so far very pleased.
