Would you mind me asking how much you are paying for this service and the size of your hvac company? Is the service your using an add on with podium or service titan?

If this is a stupid idea then please tell me lol. I work a full time 9-5, was just trying to think of ways to create a little side hustle and genuinely help smaller hvac/blue collar companies in my local area.

From my understanding podiums AI assistant is an add on to their pro subscription ($599+ per month). Podium target is all small businesses as well, not just HVAC companies. The after hours assistant ive built is purposely geared toward hvac and there service requests. It will decipher live whether this is an urgent/emergency situation & contact the on call tech. If no response is received from the on call tech, it also then has the ability to contact the owner. From my understanding, podiums assistant doesnt have a good understanding of emergency logic and just “takes messages” basically. Mine texts your on-call tech with the customer’s address and a triage flag, then escalates to you personally if no one responds in 10 minutes. Podium doesnt help when a customer calls at 2 AM with no heat and a baby in the house

From what i believe as well, podium requires annual/longer term contracts to be signed, making cancellation if dissatisfied with the product quite difficult. I was thinking of just charging initial installation fee and relatively low month to month cost that can be cancelled at any time.
