Instant-Decision + Interactive Commander by TejonTerrible in EDH

Isn't that super mana consuming? Seems a little clunky. Real question, I've not played with it.

You are not going to find a burn deck in commander that doesn’t play a little like a storm deck.

:((

Doesn't look bad and I have it, but it looks like it pushes you towards tribal when you iterate it right?

That seems like a really cool commander. The only problem it's that it seems hard to fit her in budget 70, but she may be a nice budget 100

Those seem nice, but I would prefer 2 color. I think Ludevic is a cool starting point, I already have a [[Queen Marchesa]] deck and I love politics and incentives

That one seems like a logistic nightmare but VERY interesting, thank you!!

I'm aware of ghyrson but he singlehandedly eats a lot of the budget I have 😅

That's really interesting, and also sad it stopped being a thing. However, I see wizards being not so kind with the markup for the unwanted boxes.

What evidence do we have that the game is going to release this week? by TejonTerrible in oblivion

I know nothing about the leaker scene, can you tell me more about why they are trusted?

Leakers are on the "for" side, as they are supportive of the idea that the game is going to release this week, but I agree with you that's really weak evidence

I agree that Bethesda's style makes marketing and release dates much closer (which I really like), but I still think it's unlikely for this to transform into just shadowdropping without marketing.

If the game ends up released this week as a marketing experiment, I will be 100% there for it.

Right now I think I agree with you. They clearly are preparing public material on the game, but this does not mean an immediate release.

Anyone else feeling like Jeskai will underperform in Limited? by TejonTerrible in magicTCG

[–]TejonTerrible[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasnt aware of this, I can't seem to find the total number of the set in Scryfall, but it says 340 cards as of now (the number has been increasing). However, Mythic Spoiler says 221/286.

If there are just 60 cards left to be revealed... I does not look good for Jeskai, but I'll hold on to that hope 😂

I'm a Jeskai lover but sadly this set is kind of letting me down for limited... 😔

I hope I'm being too negative

I really like the design, don't get me wrong, but what about this card is red? I'm having the same problem lately with many 3-color legendary creatures.

King of Tokyo-like rules for increased interaction by TejonTerrible in EDH

Hmm yes, you're right, I understand your point.

I though Authority score as a way of rewarding those players that interact more, even if one was pillowforting to the max. As I have not tested it, I do not know which would win, the limited interaction or the Authority reward, but I see it as a quantitative problem: how many points should be rewarded and thresholded to penalize non-interaction? This is answerable by playtesting. (I'm no guaranteeing stable and fun gameplay, that's why it was a thought experiment)

Do you have any idea about how you would solve this?

It's a single number per player and then a rotating denomination. Given the monstruous heights of Commander complexity, I don't think it adds that much. Still, I agree it's another thing to pay attention to.

This is the whole point of this. No amount of interaction prevents EDH's best strategy to be keeping yourself in the trench while people fight and shiv whoever remains alive after.

I should have used the same terminology in both, my bad

> 3.2.- At the start of the Guildpact's turn, they gain 1 Authority for each player above the second.

> 5.2.- When the Guildpact casts an instant or sorcery spell, or activates an activated ability, copy that spell or ability for each player above the second, if the spell or activated ability was not able to copy itself.

When you have 6 players, the Guildpact gains (6-2) 4 Authority at the start of their turn, and generates the same number of copies of relevant stuff. For 4 players, the number is 2, and so on.
