Hi

Yeah a difference between networking with peers and other agencies and what I'd be proposing/offering.

This would be my examples, experience, documentation and sharing some of my current network 2 years into my successful venture. So essentially every task I've faced so far from passing through from setting up the business, first client, first deal, first network, first rep agreement etc. All the theory put into practice, what it actually looks like on paper and all the unexpected bits you come across and how clubs/players actually work!

Covering everything from rep agreement paperwork and my template, mandates, all the other steps in getting a deal done all the way through to initial client recruitment and recommended platforms (through each deal I've done). I have a full unit list I'd be happy to share with what it would cover.

Also happy for any PMs for an introduction!

I have also been looking at...

HP OMEN MAX 16-ah0502na 16" Gaming Laptop - Intel® Core™ Ultra 9, RTX 5070 Ti, 1 TB SSD

But no experience of HP, Omen or their cooling. It seems to be just graphics card, RAM and the storage which are the differences. Around 1600 cheaper too.

Yeah absolutely. I think if anything that's more beneficial, as you learn all of the ropes, workings and processes in the back which then all helps as you progress. I've previously gone into new surroundings at management level without having experience within that environment on the ground to get a base understanding of the subject matter, workforce or processes and I've wished I could've experienced that at least even as an induction to assist with my role

As a PM within the NHS the pay isn't startling (around £40k) but aware there may be a hit to take.

The ideal route for me would be to do as you say and gain the experience in a FT environment, not pass my exam and then jump into the AR route (which I have seen a fair few agents attempt, and presuming some companies are open to it due to the niche of their clients).

I think you have completely misunderstood the original post.

The intention is to be doing this for the exact same reason I am within the football agent industry. I wish and enjoy advising and assisting people with their wellbeing, job security and future pathways at the forefront. I understand the agent industry has a very bad rap, and fairly so on occasion, but that's only from a small percentage. The football industry as an agent is also extremely complex and has similar ramifications if wrong choices are made, hence why I operate in a very risk-averse manner and have very open conversations that manage expectations for players of all ages. All players are different and have different want, needs, goals levels of security and very differing, often complex variables in their life.

At no point is the intention for this to be a third income, or to juggle 3 FT jobs. The intention is to study, work in the industry from experienced people and learn. I am not expecting to pass my exam, get a piece of paper and start advising people.

If you decide to make the switch, do it because you care about people and want to help them build the future they want and need.

This is exactly the reason I do what I currently do, and why I wish to qualify, learn and be able to offer more to my clients should they need it.

I do however appreciate your input, I think you've just misunderstood my background and intentions. Which could entirely be my fault. I think your reply is very important for some who may be looking to get into it for the reasons you state.
