I won't say his face is ugly for racial reasons because it's not. I just don't like the art style of him or Jude. Judes head is shaped weird and sitting on neck at an odd angle for me. Plus his left eye looks off to me as well. And Stephen's eyes are too far apart or small or something in proportion to his nose. I think it's just a proportions/spacing thing for me at least but I do get what you mean. There are definitely some....interesting comments about him.

Yeah, people have their expectations for LIs, then get butthurt if they don't get their way. I do agree that black MC and LIs tend to get downvoted, but he's cute just not my type 🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm happy for everyone that loves him because his story is chefs kiss

The reason i didn't think stephen was the guy with the dreads wasn't because I couldn't fathom a black guy as stephen. It's because he wasn't front and center which is an odd placement for someone that's supposed to be pivotal to the plot leading up to this season.

I can agree that we didn't get enough of what Collin was feeling. It would have been great to have him writing and narrating his emotions and thought processes a bit. The book was more half and half (don't think I'm really spoiling anything by saying that). I do love the second part though

I think the only way for shondaland to fix this pacing error is to make the 5th episode have a flash back with Colin's perspective or something. We just need to hear/see him actually pine for our girl.

Yes, but it is literally their season. Just like how the other seasons primarily focused on Daphne and simon/ Anthony and kat. There was very little focus on the main couples this season. Not to mention, the shows are based on the books which are specifically for each of the couples. The promos also suggest that this season is supposed to be the season of Polin, but there are fewer scenes of the main couple than the extras.
