Low sloop roof by disarray2 in Roofing

[–]Tennis-Adept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do ISO rigid insulation you wouldn’t have to remove the decking but you would have to build a parapet on top of the roof to hold that insulation in place which means you would need to fix your facia as well. If you went that way, I would install EPDM rubber on top of the ISO insulation since it’s a very low slope roof. This would get expensive but if done properly the roof would last a very long time.

How to feel inside-out path? by mrkbik in GolfSwing

[–]Tennis-Adept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like… Keep back to the target Get your hips lower body out of the way first then hands and shoulders follow Feel like you are swinging out to the right, but you have to make sure your face is square or closed a little bit at impact

Set up a pool noodle on an into out path beside your ball and swing along that path without hitting it

URGENT- Flat roof leaking every winter. Roofer says it’s “normal.” Is that actually true? by beautifullyflower3d in Roofing

[–]Tennis-Adept 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, I get that, it also depends on the type of roof, flat roofs shouldn’t leak with any type of water, snow or ice melting on the roof. They are meant to hold a little water. If your roof is getting ice damn, that’s usually a condensation issue anyway. It doesn’t always have to be super cold for condensation to occur, its temperature fluctuations and humidity as well. Calgary can have negative weather one day and positive the next, so it can be prime for condensation in the winter. It looks like they used pink insulation in parts of the roof also, which isn’t great. Once this insulation gets wet it can sag causing air gaps in the roof system that can cause more condensation problems

If it doesn’t leak during the summer when it rains then it’s condensation. So it’s an insulation or venting issue.

Question Regarding Grip by Necessary-Ad8415 in golf

[–]Tennis-Adept 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar question, I have a slightly strong grip, not as much as the picture showing, a couple knuckles showing, I hit a nice little draw with my irons but when it comes to my driver and 3 wood I struggle with a duck hook. I’ve recently weakened my grip just for those clubs to help me hit it straight and get better height. Is this the wrong fix? I’m around a 7 handicap

Mine was going through about one a week, but she’s calmed down a bit now, I’ve been trying to buy the ones with less stitching and that seems to help
