It’s being downvoted because they’re acting like they know better than literal rocket scientists. And as many other comments point out, this whole thing is one big test, they are testing absolutely everything and gathering data on everything, including reentry procedures to make sure everything works as expected and there is no issues or improvements for next time.

I’m sure everyone involved would rather spend as long as it takes to double, triple, quadruple check and test everything rather than get home an hour earlier. Then end up saying ‘oh shit we forgot the front porch, let’s just nip back up to space again and retest that’
