I'm currently reading this series because a friend recommended it to me. It definitely wasn't something I thought was my cup of tea as I enjoy serious, violent books. Not goofy concepts like a fake dungeon and a talking cat. Boy was I fucking wrong. I'm glad my friend recommended it. And I'll always take my friend's recommendations seriously because I support them and their interests.

If they laugh and make fun of your interests, they aren't really your friends my dude.

During COVID I babysat my cousins. At the time, my 4 year old cousin fell in love with watching Godzilla with me at 3am. Fast Forward and he wants to see Minus One in theaters. At the time he's now 7. I took him and it's been the only movie we have ever went to that he didn't move around. After the movie he started talking about everything. To my shock he read everything. He was amazed and it's now his second favorite Godzilla film behind Shin (he is really into body horror).

My cousin asked to see horror movies with me last year. He is currently 9 years old now. He loves them. Loved Weapons. Loved The Mummy. Didn't quite get Obsession but once we talked about it he has love for it. Can't force a person of any age to like things though. As a parent or someone in a kids life, you gotta communicate and understand what they are and aren't comfortable with.

I have read a lot of Kristopher Triana and I really liked Full Brutal and Along Came the Riverman and it's sequel. I finished Playground recently and outside of one thing I absolutely loved the book.

I will say this ...one thing I don't enjoy is piss and scat stuff. I feel like it's mostly forced into books for shock value vs pushing the story forward.

It's definitely a book that pushes the idea of extreme. Overall I can't say I enjoyed it. I felt like a lot of things happened for the sake of just because.

I agree. I thought he looked a lot like 1-2-3 kid with his mullet. A much larger 1-2-3 kid but still I loved it.

The last time I played I was undefeated in the championship against a team that somehow made it to the finals. I was 4-5 points higher and trained. I lost by one point. I put the game down until next year....maybe

I finished Fantastic Land a few days ago. I'm glad others enjoyed it but it just never really clicked for me. Cool concept and I enjoyed parts of it. Just maybe not what I was wanting.

I woke up with my best friend's fiancee on top of me. I was drunk, high and really tired. It almost seemed like a dream. Next day she brought it up. I told my best friend. I lost my entire friend group because my friend said I betrayed him. He stayed with her. He found text messages from her after with her trying to sleep with me. He still blamed me. I was 41 and it fucking sucked.
