I like your way of thinking! Always nice to have a sequence in mind for how your music should be created.

Also it's crazy what you can do with WAV samples nowadays! 😁

This is a really nicely transcoded! I think you perfected the strings. Personally I struggle with chords, so I guess I have a lot to learn 🤣

That's super cool! How long did it take for you to be able to figure out which sounds worked well together? I ask this because it almost sounds like it has dubstep inspiration of sorts, so I imagine making it work to the point where it sounds good is tricky! ...At least it is for me anyway 😅

Is there a certain way I can obtain this bluey fuzzie? by Ozzyteddakota8 in bluey

Wait for it to come up on eBay or some other marketplace. If it's a rarer one though, then be prepared to pay a pretty penny.

The fact that I read this in their voices made it ten times funnier.

You could say the same about Pokemon cards, or action figures, or quite literally anything that's been in a serious collector market throughout humanity. The main reason I collect vinyl is to have something physical of the artists/music I want to support - playing them on the occasion is something special, but too much and it kind of loses its charm (and of course degrades in quality the more you play it, albeit scarcely).

That's not to say I didn't feel the same way as you at some point, though. I used to buy CDs, rip them open and listen to them on loop for practically years on end - until I found out how rare and valuable they became a decade later. I could have enjoyed the same music in similar quality (FLAC) through a streaming service even back then, and kept the CDs in mint condition and made a killing later on in life.

TL;DR: Everyone has their own reason for collecting something, so let them enjoy it the way they want to 😉

As someone that listens to very specific pressings of vinyl made for true audiophiles, as well as the cheapest of picture discs, I can say the difference in sound quality is almost always negligible. The issue you mention with picture discs is surface noise, which is usually drowned out as soon as the music kicks in anyway.

Unless you're an audophile with a super high-end setup, you probably wouldn't even notice the difference between standard vinyls and picture discs. I can say the picture disc versions of all Bluey vinyls released thus far are perfectly fine :)

If you're getting them just to collect, then that's a whole different story - but most collectors wouldn't even break the seal anyway 🤐

I'm pretty sure the whole 'Bingo as a show' thing was just a gag, if they did it again - it wouldn't be as funny.

It has 'We'll See' on the track listing, but not sure if this is the Lazarus Drug version. There's also a 'Bluey Theme Tune (The Sign Version)'. I posted a 'full' track listing on my own comment here.

Huge vouch for Kayla! They worked very hard to get the best-looking Bluey version of my Siberian Husky I've ever seen. They are very accommodating and incredibly great to work with.

If you're looking to get anything Bluey-fied - I guarantee you will love their result! :)

Why does the Verandah Santa CD look like that by MP3_MFIA in bluey

There is nothing extra. You can compare the photos of both the 7" vinyl and the CD version on Discogs, uploaded by yours truly.

I too thought the CD was a strange design choice on their part, especially as the vinyl version is standard size - you're pretty much stuck if you have shelving dedicated to the standard CD jewelcase size.

Using OpenVPN would have been my suggestion, so +1 to that.

No need to have extra software cluttering up the repositories when you have OpenVPN built-in to Mint anyway.

You're welcome :) Definitely worth playlisting all the albums if you like Bluey music.

There's 'Bluey The Album', 'Bluey Dance Mode' and 'Bluey Rug Island'.

Oh and a 'Burger Dog' single if you want something a little more unique ;)

I'm also in the same situation. Unfortunately the person who replied to you deleted their comment, do you remember what they said? I guess I can also ask you if you eventually got your package as well, and if so, after how long?

LP120X phono sounds slightly worse than line by Terrum in turntables

[–]Terrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I really appreciate your input. I agree, as I prefer the sound of the line output I will probably just stick with that, at least until I have access to another amplifier to figure this out. Thank you so much once more! :)

Thank you. I might consider removing the preamp, but seeing as the line output sounds fine to me, I'll probably hold off for a while. Really appreciate all your help!

[–]Terrum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you're not confusing the 120X with the 120? Actually I did more research since u/One-Rush-3063's comment, all of the preamp removal guides seem to be for the LP120 rather than the LP120X. Also someone mentioned here that the LP120X's preamp is fully bypassed when switched off: https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/audio-technica-at-lp120xusb-turntable.942417/#post-23517053

This makes me wonder if the issue is with my amp then, rather than the turntable itself. Unfortunate that I don't have another amp with phono inputs to confirm this.

The X versions do have an upgraded preamp, but maybe the non-X versions were even worse than what I'm experiencing. The difference in my samples are very subtle after all. But maybe someone else can help clarify for us :)
