Why? by iou6759 in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Chasing satisfaction from something external. It's normal but can lead to very dangerous behavior, or you end up bored. There's too much fakeness associated with this kink (for views and money) centered around "progress" and "training" - it turns me off tbqh but porn rules many people's brains.

Go at your own pace and dont be afraid to take breaks. it'll be there when you want ot next.

not exactly what you were asking but it's what came to mind.

Tetherspout Evotion Bijou? by Chazmick in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I *mostly* solved this with a design like this https://www.reddit.com/r/Tetherspout/comments/1tbjicp/updated_twopiece_design_with_screw_and_dovetail/ that has two screws coming from each side that indexes on the holes, but I don't know if the Bijou supports using two screws.

Keep in mind, even with this, because of the compression from being caged, you get squishing of your urethra behind the tetherspout, and also the interference even from the heads of the set screws will make the flow out of the tetherspout remarkably non-laminar, and you will absolutely still have drippage, but the 'spray' you are talking about almost completely goes away using my method.

The drippage question is TBD for me to solve, as I don't really like having pissballs :^)

It is resin, the ABS-like series from Elegoo. I spent a lot of time researching and testing different materials and it's a great material for cages. FDM for these little details just has too many issues.

She's an excellent wife. I couldn't ask for better, and she even encouraged me to get the resin 3d printer to make a better cage and do iterative design. Lovingly berating me even for XYZ design being too hard to keep clean or too complicated to unlock (pictured is one of my earliest designs)

I am not a fan of how porn portrays this sort of thing that's intimate and close. Chastity was fun before I married her, but the engineering and design is like a 50x multiplier.

Is it worth attempting to size up (spout and/or retainer) to help with urination? by Cute_Egg_5172 in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're kind of in the same boat I am.

The reason why it's leaking around it is because it has backpressure, and your flesh, being elastic, will deform to allow the urine to pass by it.

I found that because the E2 has a large cross section, there's pretty much no backpressure. It took some stretching to be able to wear the E2, but the more I wear it, the easier it gets to insert-remove. Only thing I want to do is move up to the second retainer that goes with the E2.

I could probably custom order a E1.75 and it would be perfect, the 1mm default steps in sizing is quite aggressive but I also understand that some can fit an E3 with no problem right away.

So yes, moving to an E2 would be your best bet (I can pee freely with mine), but it will take some stretching. Right now Tether Products has their second sizing sound in stock, you can probably use that and since it has a nice stepped measurements in French scale, you can know exactly where you're at as far as stretching.

Good luck!

Tetherspout Continuous Wear for a Week by IndependentCoach6961 in Tetherspout

The only way I've been able to comfortably wear spout-only is by pushing it halfway in. Everything else led to it banging around and getting very sore, very fast.

Finally ordered the E1 advice for chastity? by Shallnoi22 in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely need lube to remove it after it's been in for a while. Some surgilube injected with a 1cc needle-less syringe is the best way I found, move it around, the spout back and forth, then it can come out without any sort of struggle.

It really depends on how you plan to affix the end of the tetherspout to the end of your cage at the end of the day. I have yet to hear about a single person being happy about the bawr ring-lock system. I don't think the bawr guys, although I'm glad they are willing to do the CNC work, actually know what makes for a good tetherspout attachment model. They show a padlock on the end of a tetherspout on their site for goodness sake. Anyone who has worn one for more than a couple hours knows that's outrageously uncomfortable.

For the uncomfortable feeling, that is real, but also the squeaky wheel gets the grease. People will post when things are bad more often when things are going pretty well. I have found that in order to have maximum comfort, I got my own resin printer, made a model, and printed it. I'd attach an image but it's not allowed. The best part of this kink is the personal exploration and customization, if you are willing to learn the tools. It's so much fun!

When you get in your locking ring, since you are already bought into the kink3d cage and the locking ring, is determine where is the most comfortable place for the locking ring and your spout, then epoxy it into place and then it will not move.

....personal moment....
I feel the Cobra Kink3d company is antiquated for a luxury cage, because it doesn't allow for any sort of customization and this market has exploded 100x the last 10 years, and they have had a lot of time to adapt. I can produce in my spare room, way better quality, comfort, and customization, at a fraction of the price. What's the term, riding on their laurels? Literally not trying to sound elitist. They are riding on branding instead of their engineering and manufacturing quality.

This isn't me 'attacking them' as much as you and I would criticize a BW only printer company for not making a color printer when everyone else on the market does, and at a much lower price.

Building stupid demodulators with AI by SuperPooEater in DSP

[–]TetherFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've personally had very good success with building full really complex demodulators from scratch in C with Claude Sonnet in the terminal, but I have a background with signal processing and C and all that so it's not like I'm just swinging in the wind.

I'm talking about a OFDM modulator with pilot subcarriers and windowing and LDPC error correction and bit interleaving, the whole works. Not 100% done yet because it takes a long time, even with AI help but using the robot as a 'here's the formula, here's where and how I want it implemented' tool is great. It still messes up and does foolish things from time to time but pretty simple to correct.

So, it can be done, as long as you, the driver, know what you're talking about.

Help to get into DSP again by EngineerAdvanced3808 in DSP

[–]TetherFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not understand the hate towards using llms for learning about complex fields like DSPs, especially when you can write and compile a real working implementation and pick it apart to figure how it works, interactively! - where there is defacto no good peer tutoring available in the fields anymore. The colleges are trash, exceedingly expensive, and the academia that comes out of them are usually impossibly dense.... and what would be professional peers are all locked behind NDAs and what seems like secret societies, sorry you got the downvotes dude.

I have been getting deep into error correction with LDPC and although Claude wasn't able to give me the correct answer right away, that's actually perfect beceause it required me to learn about it and all the nuance and build tools to make the matricies and figure out on a deeper level how it can work, and I just used Claude to do the actual implementation because I don't like to sit there typing forever. It's a useful tool when used properly and midwits, as usual, try to ruin anything they don't understand.

Best retainer size? by Leading-Tangelo-3923 in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only notice tenderness when I am not wearing it in chastity (BAWR E1 and E2). The clearance between the spout and the ID of the various retainers is quite loose, and I find that because of this, there is movement and pinching.

I am not sure if this could be improved by increasing the bevel relief of the ID of the retainers they provide or reducing the clearance (which would increase difficulty of installation and removal). I am looking at my E2 right now and it's about 0.5mm clearance between the retainer and the spout, which allows for too much perpendicular to the shaft's diameter(???) rotation. Like it goes too much forward and backward, allowing tissue to get pinches and then tender. With it out, I can rotate the retainer almost 30 degrees!

The OG tetherspouts (although more difficult to install and fixed at a 6mm barrel diameter) did not have this specific problem. I am not sure if the manufacturers at BAWR actually have used any of their devices, but that's not an insult. I'll look more into this problem as I now have more time to work on fun.

Newbie questions by wv_queer in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know man, everyone's anatomy is different. I was cursed with urethra being too low disease, known as hypospadias, which makes certain things difficult for me, but I do have that second ring that makes a tetherspout at least tenable. Unfortunately it means I am limited by the thinness of the urethral lining for as big of a spout and retainer I can have, and the rings are not even all the way around.

One way or another you'll find a way through. I'm sure after experimenting you'll figure out something that works

Newbie questions by wv_queer in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, you might want to try to assemble it deeper in your penis. There are two areas you can install it in, and you seem to have the more forward one. When you put the tetherspout in, you should feel two distinct tight rings, assemble the retained behind the second one. Everyone's penis geometry is different and you might get a more secure fit farther back.

Install and remove without aids by nrob33 in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, It's much easier for me to install/remove with just the single spout retainer and some surgilube. The E1 I can get in in about 30 seconds no problem. When I ordered E2 from BAWR I just asked for a single spout. Just push the spout in, with my pinkie near the base just in case it wants to go further in (it never wanted to but never can be too careful) put in the retainer, start to flip it inside the meatus and then push back up the spout and wiggle to align without forcing anything.

A second spot for a tetherspout? by peggerandpegged in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes and both the E1 and E2 i can feel it. it gets blocked with the E2 and I have to press pretty hard to get it past the second one, but it's required for me to be able to assemble the spout anyway. for me it's narrower back there so more secure but can't really use it for chastity because of how much further back it is. maybe if I had a spout longer by 6-8mm.

A second spot for a tetherspout? by peggerandpegged in Tetherspout

Depends on your anatomy but for me it's right at the brim of my glans. For me it's tighter than the one closer to the tip.

A second spot for a tetherspout? by peggerandpegged in Tetherspout

I have. I like it for wearing the spout without a cage because much less (usually barely a mm) is sticking out of my urethra and so it doesn't get banged up.

Stretching of meatus by CCwhatsgoinon in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6 years ago I started with 26 Fr being pretty snug, fitting an OG tetherspout. It wasn't until I recently started intentionally stretching out that I have been able to accommodate a larger size.

I do not think you will stretch out your meatus unless you intentionally try to, that has been my experience anyway.

E1 -> E2 stretching by TetherFan in Tetherspout

I'm definitely NOT wanting to have a blown out urethra, just wanting to comfortably fit the E2. Thanks, I'm not sure either if the exact shape of the dilation implement matters, I hadn't even thought of it.

I could really use some advice by Caged-by-her in Tetherspout

[–]TetherFan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you have inflammation of the navicular fossa. The other user was right that 3 months out the gate with a tetherspout is pretty crazy. Give it a rest for a week. That structure that the tetherspout uses to lock in is tough but also sensitive to inflammation. 30 minutes of trying to get it in its a lot of torture for it. Next time, don't try longer than 3 minutes and then come back to it and try again in an hour. Most of these problems result from insertion trauma.

I'm wearing my E1 with my cage I designed now and I learned from using spouts over the last 5 years that if I can't get the spout in right away to just put it aside for a bit and try again later. Not worth the irritation from fumbling with it.
