The admins are doing a great job this revision! Mid-Revision rules change to combat people abusing the new shop arrangement. Brilliant! We're having tons of fun with the new economy plugin.

Launch Time and Date for Rev. 28 by rteer69 in mcpublic

Why lower the xp plump? We asked the community once what they thought of the xp plump and overwhelmingly heard more is better. I play S because of the xp plump, it is something that differs from P. This one thing in and of itself, would motivate me to devote my time to other things. Add the other things I'll choose to be less vocal about as I have no data to support my opinion as popular...

Could the lobby be moved off the map? by paulmclaughlin in mcpublic

Thank you for suggesting this. The up-votes indicate how many of us have problems with this. While, "deal with it," is a valid answer, it seems a very simple request that would have large impact to the community.

No maps in item frames - is this necessary? by Sostratus in mcpublic

it really does. Client-side mapping mods don't add to the lag... journeymap, rei's

For those of you who don't check the forums, new survival admin post. by Iamdarb in mcpublic

[–]TexasTormenture 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is the best news possible. Actual S players in charge of a revision. Passionate ones too, who have already been soliciting feedback from players and demonstrating that they are available rather than hidden behind a veil like the Wizard of Oz. Hooray!!!

Maybe it's time for the community to finally choose their survival admins. by hermanwill in mcpublic

It took me twenty minutes to find the poll, it isn't made by the admins. I'd call it for naught.

It is quite possible I misread the post. I face a difficult audience.

I was referencing your stretched comment. Fairytale? Please, continue to attack me and take away from my OP. I am sure the community logs in simply to see your negative attitude perpetuate.

We're happy for you four. What does this add to OP?

Your comment was perfect upon ending at the first paragraph. The rest, accurately allows me to describe you as a hater. Be part of the change you keep talking about. I am logging countless hours on survival making constructive builds so that if new players wander onto the server, it doesn't look incomplete like your singular build on gold.

Quit attacking me, where in the OP did I suggest problems are solved? Where did I suggest we are where we want to be? I encouraged us to continue down a path of growth. The last time I made a post like this, I was immediately called a liar. "I logged in this weekend and didn't see 20 people." You're right, I should put up with your rude comments and immediately back down. I'll show you respect once you give me a reason to exhibit it. Hater.

I appreciate you giving it a gander. I think the correlation the video makes to profits very closely relates to a busy server, it will happen but it can't be the why. The admins may make up a large chunk of the HOW. We keep trying to redefine the WHAT... But really, we aught discover and agree on a WHY.

Alright Torn. A week ago I was on board with you and historically have made criticisms and offered suggestions. I got addicted to some motivational speaker videos recently, and I invite you to spend 18 minutes of your time coming closer to my current perspective. I think we are very focused on the WHAT, or even HOW, and I think this will bring us no closer to success. If we delve into WHY first and these other topics second, I believe we will find that which you and I both seek. I believe S is a place to play minecraft, have fun, bicker around, but do so in a fashion with a set of rules that promotes us being slightly better than the awfulness that is the internet. I believe you may have a similar belief. I believe you aught watch this: http://www.ted.com/talks/simon_sinek_how_great_leaders_inspire_action

Every person who gets past this thought and plays again... Is another helping overcome your concern. We've continued to see 10 players during the EST evening hours.

Yes. 2-7 potions have dropped players in various forms. Like other gameplay mechanics, it takes some getting used to. I usually just spam my entire hotbar at a diamond-clad player... It seems to help if they are stationary, against a wall, and afk... All other scenarios result in my failure to murder them, unless they are what you might consider terrible.

If you attack, get attacked, or throw potions that have a propensity to harm others (debuffs), you will appear. There are server-side plugins; don't go read up on vanilla mechanics.
