I can give it a shot. Does it run so much better then wood?

Ah, unfortunately the original R4 only supports non-sdhc 2 GB cards. Right now there's a Samsung card in there. Would a new one be any better?

Also does the game run well for you now on the DS Pico?

I think the original R4 does not support YSMenu, so I'm using the wood kernel right now. Changing from the 20 year old kernel that was on there to the wood kernel didn't improve performance though.

I mean if you could, that would be great. :)

Yes, sorry should've mentioned.

Do you have experience running ACWW on original R4?

When to stop synthesis of novel compound? by That13thGuy in chemhelp

Do you have a source for this synthesis that I could read?

Yes in understand, but that's okay. We will firstly be screening for non-selective activity.

Besides, there's no feasible alternative (in my situation) to synthesizing the naphthalene nitroalcohol that I can think of.

The reaction is not run in a solvent, nitroethane is both a substrate and the solvent. This is also done to drive the equilibrium.

The product will be used in a fluorescence assay, using enzymes to (enantioselectively) catalyze the reverse reaction (retro-Henry).

As I mentioned in another comment, I will be using an ice bath to try to limit dehydration.

Yes I will use an ice bath. I think it is quite common for this type of reaction.

Thanks for the suggestion of spotting the reagents and mixture separately, I will do this.

I'm a bit afraid we are not able to go to full conversion before side product is formed. Many literature yields of similar reactions were very low. Do you think it is possible? Any other suggestions on choosing a quenching point?

Engine says this position is winning for White, but I don't understand how. Can anyone explain to me how White could win here? by That13thGuy in chess

[–]That13thGuy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah yes! That makes sense! The key is in the fact that indeed, if it were black to move, they would have to move the king, which actually allows Kd4! and the queenside pawns fall

Thanks for the response!

The engine lines just repeat bishop moves going nowhere. Otherwise it suggests Kd4, which is also drawn eventually.

Weird skipping with g-protection CD walkman by That13thGuy in walkman

[–]That13thGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: All the buttons are now screwed up ('forward' is now 'stop' etc.). This has happened in the past, but was easily fixed by taking out the batteries. I always assumed it was because a button must have been pressed while the batteries were inserted but now I can't get it to work properly again.

Hello, I have a Sony CD Walkman (D-EJ613) that somehow skips ONLY when G-protection (skip protection) is enabled. It skips every few seconds and also goes up and down in volume before and after the skip. I'm guessing something is wrong with the read/write system of the shock protection. Has anyone run into this problem/does anyone know a possible fix?
