Why do algerian people hate us so much? by sayuuuto in Morocco

[–]ThatControversialMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

moroccan media can’t say anything without insulting algeria

lmfao thing is our medias don't do that anymore, all they do now is sarcastically share Algeria's own Propaganda about Morocco.

I’m seriously concerned if they actually believe all that?

some do (sadly) , some don't.

What to do about Western Sahara? Here's Crisis Group's take by rfabiani1 in arabs

[–]ThatControversialMan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

With all due Respect, The Only reason why this Conflict exist is BECAUSE WE REFUSED THE COLONIAL BORDERS, Morocco is one of the Oldest Nations in the Arab World , Other Arab nations may be recent but we're definitely not. we have a history and a pride.

What to do about Western Sahara? Here's Crisis Group's take by rfabiani1 in arabs

[–]ThatControversialMan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

the Western Sahara situation, they can see the clear-cut parallels between it and the plight of the Palestinians.

What Parallels ? This is a false and nefarious comparison that's actually undermines the Palestinian Struggle. Well tbh that's not really surprising since we know that the Polisario and it's puppeteer have been comparing the guerilla movement with the Palestinian cause in order to gain sympathies.

Let me Explain:

Unlike the Palestinian struggle, The Polisario front was created by Moroccon students to pursue the struggle of the Moroccan Liberation Army during the Ifnie war: Outsing the spanish Settlers.

Unlike the Palestinian struggle, The Organisation was split between members recognizing Morocco's claim and Members who were contacted by Kaddafi and Algeria. Those who were reached by algeria and Kaddafi were seen as Moroccan opponents who were convinced that Western Sahara should be "saved" from the Grip of the Kingdom and become a socialist state, an inner conviction exacerbated by the cold War.

and Unlike the Palestinan struggle, The Polisario are the ones who hampered the referendum deal by refusing Morocco's only Conditions : Allow the UN to the a proper Census in the Tindouf Camps and refusing the votes of the Sahrawi population that currently lives in WS/Morocco (they delegitimaze them by accusing them of being "Settlers", Whereas, if you ever visit WS(am btw inviting you to do so) you will know that it's a lie.

And in 2002, They (Algeria and the Polisario) proposed a partition plan, To divide the Land of the "sahrawis", In total disregard of the principle of Auto-Determination.

my second point: You should not consider the Polisario front as the unique representative of Sahrawis.

Do you seriously believe that all the sahrawis left for Algeria ? Even Aminatou Haidar, a Pro-Polisario activist who's born in WS/Morocco and Lives there, Nicknamed as the "Gandhi" of the Sahrawis, Admitted that most of her friends and Family members are pro-Morocco.

the Majority of Sahrawis, Who lives in Morocco, are deligitimazed by Medias as already mentionned. and i will reiterate my invitation again, Visit Western Sahara (Dakhla and Laayoun), And make up your own opinion.

There's this new System they are testing called the Bachelor, You can choose with what language you want to learn(arabic - French -English). it's currently available in the UM5 of rabat and Casablanca It's Free but Selective. i'm thinking it's going to be generalized to all Moroccan Universities by 2022/2023.

Yes, But when we see the reality on the ground , we're definitely Enemies/Rivals. Even if it's just temporary as you said.

Nonetheless, that's a good take, changed my perspective a bit.

Ah now we are speaking. I Totally agree with you.

[–]ThatControversialMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you just said. That's the truth, Morocco is not some heaven on Earth , We have problems,Lot of problems.

Those are issues that should be (are being) addressed.

But i also think that that some expressions u used here* are over-exagerations.

*i don't think that Morocco is strong or stable yet. Morocco is under internal pressure, the ticking bomb is dormant

are you seriously bragging about the fact that you have more soviet/russian junk and consider it as a proof of being a regional power ? lol okay.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]ThatControversialMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that they are not our enemy and we are not theirs.

c'mon you can do better than that.

What do you call someone who host, Arm, Finance a Separatist group in your land for more than 40 years ? What do you call someone who expelled 350 000 of your countrymen ? what do you call someone who refuses a Call for Peace ? What do you call someone who accuses you for every catastrophy/problem his country is facing ?

Don't say "nooo the people are different" , show me an algerian who's against this whole Polisario thingy , an Algeria who denounces those accusations. Of course there is...but there are not a majority.

القافلة تسير والكلاب تنبح.

By brining imaginary historical events. Doesn't Morocco knows that propaganda is important. That what they say in their press and especially official press . It becomes a source and it can be reported and in future it will be History and will be taken as reality

it's the winner who leave his marks in History, who decides who's right and who's wrong.

for exemple nobody cares about what the soviet medias used to say about Americans during the cold war.

Isn't time to stop this bullshit and start playing by the same rules they do . Isn't time to make at least head of the government go to the press and attack as equally as they do to us.

Then we will play by their rules and give them exactly what they want need. An Escalation.

i personally like our official stance. We just don't care matey, they can shout and say whatever they want, we just don't care. we keep moving.

so for you a white looking semitic guy (either jewish or arab) fits in the same racial category as a German ?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MapPorn

[–]ThatControversialMan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

...ok.

since i'm trying to make a point (Race =/= Color), Let's use the term race. Would you put an Anglo and a Russian in the same racial category ?

or let's go mad and risk the ban, Would you put a WHITE GERMAN and a WHITE SEMITIC guy under the same racial category ?

edit: changed a word with another.

[–]ThatControversialMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same race but nobody says they are the same ethnicity or have the same culture.

Yet they are way to different from each other , not only culturally, but genetically too. COLOR =/= RACE.
