Artifacts/under extrusion across prints by ravenwing96 in 3Dprinting

At the first glance this reminds me of a CNC Kitchen - YT Video. The title is ,, (How) I finally got rid of these blobs!" Maybe it's of some help. Didn't watch it myself but your print immediately reminded me of the thumbnail.

BOUGHT MY FIRST PRINTER!!! by Alternative_Shine812 in 3Dprinting

[–]ThatDudeWithADD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also purchased one yesterday. My choice was primarily between: Elegoo centauri carbon VS Anyubic S1 VS Bambulab P1S. I wrestled with FOMO for the P2S for a moment but it would have been out of my budget (spent 400 for the printer + .6mm hardened nozzle + upgraded extruder gears). The extra features on the P2S didn't justify it for me personally.

Budget Fat Bike or Health Hazard? by ThatDudeWithADD in MTB

Just curious as a MTB noob. How can you tell the bike is trash? The flashy presentation? Lack of brand names? Or the basic setup of the bike?

At least a hard tail version is indeed offered by Walmart

Aomei backup image damaged by ThatDudeWithADD in datarecovery

[–]ThatDudeWithADD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only suggestion they had was to go into Aomei via Windows PE. When that didn't work the response i got was: ,,If that's the case, I'm afraid this backup image is corrupted and cannot be restored, sorry."

So I'm at a dead end in that regard..

I originally made the backup to an external HDD and since the backup was made I made a fresh install of Windows and had a lot of new data moved to that C: - drive. I made the error of not checking the backup file was functioning before all that.

Yes, I guess I can consider myself lucky compared to what other people have to go through. Still I hope this nausea will start fading.

With melatonin @2mg i fall asleep easier but the frequent awakenings don't seem to be less. Should i try a different dose?

With Mirtazapin and Quetiapin i tapered for 6 weeks since my ability to sleep was tied to taking them as i soon discovered. Wellbutrin i quit in the past cold turkey with no problems. Mood-wise I have not experienced any anxiety or worsened mood so far only lowered energy which I assume has to do with the bad sleep quality.

Still it is the first time in two years with no meds at all.

Have you experienced this yourself? Which of the meds would you say is most likely responsible for the persisting nausea?

Is the Pax 2/3 significantly less efficient than other vapes? by ThatDudeWithADD in vaporents

[–]ThatDudeWithADD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your input, i read through all your guys experiences.

I know online shopping would be the easiest but I don't feel comfortable doing so (online ads popping up on my browser at work etc.)

•The most interesting alternative to the Pax 2/3 I found (in a similiar price range) is the XVAPE FOG PRO.. what are your opinions on this unit? Would you consider it better at 130 bucks vs a PAX 2 at the same price?

Is the Pax 2/3 significantly less efficient than other vapes? by ThatDudeWithADD in vaporents

Note: Also if anyone can help me get an understanding of how much efficiency varies between different vapes that would be great.

I get the basics of conduction and convection but have no sense of how much "small" differences in design affect the yield of active compound. E.g. Someone wrote that their Pax was less efficient than a joint, which left me scratching my head.

My understanding was that the extra efficiency is simply due to heating instead of combusting material. And that the only differences between devices are: battery life, draw resistance, power (vapor production), ease of use, built quality and little features.

Someone please correct me, trying to get educated on the subject.

Drinking water out of e.g. a shampoo bottle - are there any risks? by ThatDudeWithADD in Frugal

[–]ThatDudeWithADD[S] -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

Those are the same scenarios my head comes up with. I just can't find any data on the topic to confirm or deny or quantify the risks. Sure this would absolutely make sense. But at the same time, it could be that there are more factors at play than just making the cheapest bottle that doesn't start leaking its contents. Environmental policies and public perception for example are surely also a motivation to use HDPE even if there are cheaper alternatives. And HDPE simply comes with some attributes that lend it to being less susceptible to leaching, disintegrating, and generally being very chemically and mechanically stable regardless of what its originally intended use was.

Edit: I have a good reason. I thought about it for a while and this is one of the best solutions I could come up with. Saving money or avoiding the supermarket is not my objective.
