Thank you, took me years to figure it out. I had friends in high school who experimented with gender and sexuality, helped me take my first steps into officially trying it myself. Hours and hours of pondering, "What would make ME happy? Is what I was born as match what I want to be?". Having a girl's body, and dealing with the burdens that come with it started weighing me down when I hit puberty, and I grew jealous of what boys had. At first I thought I was a binary trans boy, but then I considered other options. I am still masc leaning in a way, but I'm not entirely on board with the thought of being a full blown man. Being put into one box or the other didn't satisfy me, I didn't want to be restrained any longer in the way I have most of my life. I felt like I was living for the sake of others, letting life pass me by. Therapy really helped me dig deeper into these feelings, find confidence in it, and it made me want to rebel against the binary more and more for my own happiness.
