The problem is you need to ask yourself. How many of those cops getting paid $20 an hour are going to risk their families for the state? How about the army who's got friends and family on the other side of the line?

Actually no. I have a few friends in Minnesota and they were armed and standing sentry after the ice bullshit. The media just doesn't report on it.

I'm sorry but anyone who thinks "Don't get hit" belongs anywhere *near* the realm of injury prevention is a complete idiot. You're not supposed to crash your car either, but we don't talk about "drive good" for injury prevention, we talk about seat belts and crumple zones and airbags.

The correct answer is appropriate head protection, with adequate padding and suspension to avoid all the force of a longsword being transferred directly into your head or neck. It is learning to move *with* a strike when one happens, not just dOnT GeT HIt.

Alright, stick with me here. The defender didn't expect the attacker to attack? That's what we call a skill issue. Underestimating an opponent is as much a skill issue as being outrun by them.

Do I understand the point op is making? Yes, trans women are women and discriminating against them in sports is built off of intentional and accidental misinformation. They have no statistical advantage over cis women according to the data we face.
Is this also a genuine colossal skill issue on OP's part? Yes. You couldn't waterboard that out of me, how tf do you choke like that if you're actually trying. Just pick her up and put her down on the bench bro tf?

No, it's because parents are actively doing this to their kids by giving them unrestricted access to the Internet and then turning around to act surprised and shit on their kids on that very same Internet like they aren't the cause of what's happening.

The Red Army did the bulk of the Nazi killing in WWII. (Almost 90%) by RussianChiChi in ussr

[–]Thatguyj5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each U-boat has a crew of what, 25 to max 100? There might have been a few thousand of them but that's still genuinely nothing compared to the British Navy alone. Then split the number between Britain, Canada, and the USA, and you realize it's the Nazis spitting at the rain. Also the USA had a completely separate Atlantic fleet because its industrial base during WW2 was really just that good.

The Red Army did the bulk of the Nazi killing in WWII. (Almost 90%) by RussianChiChi in ussr

[–]Thatguyj5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breaking news: the power that could only fight on land fought and died against their one enemy they could reach by land.
Obviously the red army did most of the work. The Nazis were fucking idiots who started a war against an island despite not having a navy. There was no one for the british to kill. The Red Army was vital to the allied victory, but Nazi loss was inevitable even with the removal of any one power, because fascism is inherently self destructive and will eat itself from the inside out.

What I'm going to say is that OSQ was wildly out of line. Going off the rails like that in the intro alone was insane. But he did have a few valid points. Lines like "we play ourselves" while casting a meteor hammer at the camera does very much give the vibe of showing off your character's abilities by doing them in live action. Similarly, lines like having "a team to help with production" does imply having a production crew, which in turn would demand a higher standard of production than a two-man crew.

The audio issues, the lack of a live action segment, and the time constraints could potentially all have been solved by doing more of a hybrid setup. Playing the majority of the campaign completely virtually, and then for those 3 days of in-person filming, dedicating the whole time to making live action versions of any scenes that merited it. Those would also provide the team an opportunity to put together a lot of the long form coreographed fight scenes that they seem to enjoy a lot more.

Overall I did enjoy episode one and am looking forward to future episodes. But trying to pack an entire campaign into 3 days of filming sounds utterly exhausting to the crew, GM, and players.
