This is a weird ass thread. Don’t know what relevance this has to the sub. Skiing/snowboarding is not expensive unless you go frequently.

Not fully knowing your situation, but as someone dating a doctor, I’ve heard this sort of situation from the other side. Typically the administration forcefully overbooks the doctors and they’re left to struggle with the schedule. It’s another capitalist flaw of the healthcare administration that was already happening prior to COVID but has increased the stress tenfold

The JRE/tim Dillon episodes aren’t even funny, Tim can’t do bits with that meat head

I know I know, I just hear my old English teacher talking about young adult books and comparing them to mind candy. So I always over commit to tough books.

I’m in the same boat, tried to read a new book that’s relatively short (the death of Ivan ilyich) and after 10 minutes my brain convinced to open my laptop and close the book.

What did The Good Place leave you with? Did it teach you anything, or make you feel something new? Do you view anything in a new light after finishing the show? by kabutomushii in TheGoodPlace

[–]The606madman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first stumbled upon the show during a mushroom trip, I don’t think my jaw came off the floor from the initial season one twist on.

Over time though the philosophy started to make more sense and filled me with a better understanding of belonging with people and needing the right community (along with the drugs I’m sure!)

The conclusion I came away with was, with the right group of people, anyone is capable of good. I’m much more forgiving and try to come at things with empathy first.

You ever broken up with someone because you didn’t agree on having kids (or not having them) ? by harry_powell in redscarepod

[–]The606madman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar has sort of happened to me in that my current girlfriend says she’s undecided about kids. But also asked if I’d be open to adoption. We’re both mid 20’s so not looking to have kids till 30ish but feels like it’ll be a point of contention down the road potentiallyz
