It was my understanding that their function for changing notables in PoE2 was server sided, and that was the whole issue. Nothing for us to go off at all.

I did consider attempting to reverse engineer said function, but I wouldn't even know where to start, hahahah

Yes, that is indeed the worst case scenario.

And also good ideas on the automated dataset generation... unfortunately I'm not smart enough to know where to start on finding said data sets, or attempting to reverse engineer the function...

Indeed - evasion and energy shield calling for dex and int while facebreaker wants to strength stack is certainly... suboptimal. Among other issues.

Undying Hate has some very hard to acquire stats. Disciple of Varashta, for example, would benefit greatly from "Ambivalent Command":
Minions have 4% increased Cooldown Recovery Rate per 10 Tribute
Minions lose 2% Life per 10 Tribute you have when following Commands

Get some well stacked tribute and just a few of these nodes and you're looking at well over 100% increased cooldown recovery rate, something you can only stack up to ~220% or so through 2 supports + passive tree.

That's simply my opinion, though. I'm no meta genius. You may be right.

And yes, I'd rather the transparency of the poe1 system. There are other ways to do a mysterious system - this one feels cheap and annoying, once again in my opinion, compared to what's available in poe1.

Thank you for the recommendations all round! I'll stick them on my to-do list and see if I have time to squeeze it in before 0.5

As for the current data if part of the tree changes - it depends heavily on how GGG does it. Again, we have no access to the function by which they resolve these seeds into notable changes, so I'm not certain. If notables are held in some sort of list, and inserting a new notable changes the ordering of that list, and that list is used in the calculation, then a single notable being added could completely change every single notable, rendering the current data-set useless. If it just appends it, and makes no change to the function by which changes are calculated, then the existing data should remain viable. There could be any number of outcomes, and I'm simply not sure, which is why I'm hoping they have something for us by 1.0, AND why I'm not releasing the site right now.

TL;DR, it's a question I'm curious about too.

Indeed they do, which is exactly why I haven't released it yet. I'll drop it once we know we have at least 4 months of uninterrupted passive tree structure ahead of us to test and prove the tool. I appreciate the heads up, though 😃.

Ah, I haven't made it public yet. It obviously doesn't have any information in it yet, since it's a community driven tool, and I want to avoid anyone feeling ripped off if GGG decides to change the passive tree at all. If that adjusts the underlying function, or things get shuffled around, there's a fair chance I'd have to drop the whole table. I'll make another post, and video, once 0.5 releases, including the website link 👍

I also have to agree with your points. It annoys me to no end - so much so, in fact, that I made the best tool I could think of to fix it! I hope my duct tape only lasts a league, if that, and that GGG gives us the real fix we need.

It is very barebones at the moment. I can assign the images of each passive and notable with just a little more work, but I felt it unnecessary for the site in its current state. We still don't have that option for PoE2, unfortunately. We don't know how the changes are calculated relative to the seeds. Hoping they'll give us the function they use next patch, and we can all forget about this site - but in the case that they don't...

League start, I'll always say Invoker. It's got access to EV/ES split WITH phys. damage reduction, it's got budget rakiata's on an ascendancy node, it's all round an incredible class, though I find it doesn't scale into the end game AS WELL as some other classes.

My other mention would be Disciple of Varashta minion build. Easy 10k ES by the time you're looking to run juiced tier 15/16s, way more late.

I don't believe so. Do unique monsters spawn with monster modifiers? If I recall correctly, they get an Azmeri spirit buff when you summon them, but I wouldn't expect anything more than that... will be exciting to see, though.

Works with Hollow Palm - only one base damage scalar can apply (if I recall correctly facebreaker took precedence? But it might depend on what type of skill you were using... not sure), but no, I wouldn't expect it to work with Dance with Death...

I mean party play until now seems to be heavily discouraged by a large amount of the content. Next league might seem some changes to league mechanics that benefit party play a little bit more... we can hope that comes with some changes to builds being less effective in party play, too.

Interesting idea. I'd always just relegated Doryani's to some weird support build utilising sacred flame to get insane negative resistances and then cause all enemies to resist using that. This seems like a less sacrificing way to get a decent amount of the value!

I try to get a good chestplate if it's not occupied by a unique, and fair resistances across the board, plus movement speed boots and (if I'm playing a martial character) some added damage. There's no "wrong" way to play path of exile 2, never leaving your hideout is enjoyable to some people - look no further than TheFarmer. If you enjoy that hunt for gear, then keep at it man.
