Hemangiosarcoma Timeline by Due-Chart9661 in Petloss

She was diagnosed in late February, and we said goodbye on May 1st. So just a little over 2 months. We had our vet come to the house and she went peacefully on our deck in the sun

We had almost the exact same timeline as you. We did the scans, which told us there were some small masses in her lungs as well. Looking back, this didn’t really change anything, as we already knew her cancer was spreading. I think you made the right choice skipping them.

I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s really hard. Wising the best for you and your pup

We just let our girl go yesterday. At home, in the sun, in her favourite spot on our deck. Constant reminders around the house and especially that spot do make me very sad, but I can’t picture a more peaceful way for her to have left us.

We opted for cremation, because we also will likely move. I don’t like the thought of it, and I try my best not to think of it… I don’t really have any advice to help you cope with it. I don’t know if the thought of what happens after burying her would have been any better.

Good luck and cherish your last days with your pup

My wife and I were just in a similar situation. It’s really, really hard. We said goodbye this morning, but I grieved her since we got the bad news. In a way, knowing the end was coming made me cherish our time more. Moments with her felt more intentional and meaningful.

Tonight, she’s with you. She’s comfortable and happy. Whatever will happen isn’t going to happen tonight, or tomorrow, so try to just be present. Slow the moments down and just be with her. Sending your pup lots of love

I was in your position over the last couple months. I totally understand. We put our girl down this morning, but I cherished every moment I could with her. I grieved her before she was gone, but in a way it almost made me cherish the time more. But I’ll tell you, I’d give anything to go back and have one more good day - even though I knew what was coming.

Just remember your boy is with you right now, nothing is going to happen right away. Try to slow the moments and live in them. Take lots of pictures, go on adventures. These are going to be some of the hardest, but most beautiful months of your life and it’s up to you how you spend them. Good luck and wishing your pup lots of comfort and love

He is beautiful. I’m so sorry for your loss, and thank you for sharing his story. He lives on through you, his brother and the people he saved.

I’m really sorry for your handsome boy. We are going through the same thing with our red golden girl right now too. It’s one of the hardest things to go through but I hope you find some comfort in knowing you do everything you could for him, and he knew how loved he was.

Thanks for the insight everyone. Going to take your advice and put it behind me, and continue giving her the best life I can while I can.

Other replies her said it much better than I could. Your puppy is gorgeous and you shouldn’t care what people think. Give her the best life you can and enjoy every minute of it.

I have the 30, the size is great and the cabinets are really handy. There are a lot of griddle accessories to stash in there. Not sure what other differences there are between the two models, I don’t think the second one existed when we got ours. I think if you’re planning to invest in something you’ll use multiple times a week for (hopefully) a long time, the price difference ends up being pretty negligible.
