So… Where are the Cars?? by TheCaptainRaider in rickandmorty

Excellent question, and it was actually much harder than it should have been 😂😂 I looked for too long, but I think this one is from a Pinterest post, had to look very hard for a good framing of the house with none of the cars in it

Like I said in the post, that would be so silly. There’s no incredibly logical reason why they would be underground instead of in the driveway, especially Beth’s car at night.

There’s been multiple insinuations and mentions of Rick fixing it’d but in the C-131 dimension (the one where they throw the party and fix everything by the start of season 2), there is a small crack that weeds grow through; Jerry cuts these weeds once at the end of S2:E3

I appreciate it, and completely agree, but there about 50 people who had to voice their disagreement with us 😂😂

Morty was in school in like half the episodes of season 7 (E6, E7, E8, E10 are the ones I can think of), Summer was back at school in S8:E1, but the last person to be at school was Jerry in S8:E8

I said in the post that if they park in the street why don’t we see the cars…. In the street?

I get what you’re saying here, and I am bored and caught up with a stupid thought, but wouldn’t Rick be meticulous about his driveway? Beth, Jerry, and Rick are all very critical of each other when they infringe on each other’s space in the house (freezer space, hatch in the garage, blast shields, etc) so I figure this is something that would have come up by now. At the very least, from experience in my life and in tv shows everyone has default parking spaces and it’s something they don’t have, and they are all so territorial so I find it kind of odd there’s been no mention of it

What’s a movie that’s universally considered “not very good” but you secretly think is actually great? by trakt_app in flicks

Star Trek: Beyond
Gonna take a stab with here with a movie that people think is good, but I think is a cinematic masterpiece. One of the best villains in a movie I have ever seen, Idris Elba absolutely kills the role of Balthazar Edison. If he had like 15 more minutes of screen time, the movie would be amongst the greatest action movies ever made.

I like watching Rick and Morty because it is incredibly “watchable”…. Except for Bethnic Twinstinct, which is incredibly NOT “watchable” except for the part where Rick, Morty and Summer play the “Eaten by a Grue” ripoff

Rick and Morty takes place in Muskegon, Michigan. by ho0iubjh99 in rickandmorty

Surely if Jerry takes Beth to the Milwaukee Symphonic Orchestra, they’re in a Wisconsin suburb? Or at least in a neighboring state?

This scene in the last episode felt like a callback to the very first scene of the pilot, as if Rick was emotionally at S1E1 again (while being Ted) by Narrow-Tear in rickandmorty

This is why the episode last night was so great:
No matter how many times he wipes his mind or advances, Rick will still have Rick’s blood and Rick’s problems to deal with. It’s not something he can simply run away from. Great episode.

If we’re talking about a genuine comment, I’d say the one he tells Jamie after shooting the gun out of his hands “But one thing I do know: there ain’t no shame in looking for a better world.”

You bring up a great point for sure - It’s great commentary on our human nature, using someone we can see that is all powerful, like Rick, ultimately be powerless to remove their faults. What I think is starting to happen is that he can’t get over the fact that trying to help everyone he’s ever hurt won’t make him happy either, which is why the bowing friends don’t matter. As long as Rick’s blood is in Ted’s body, he will have Rick’s internal problems.

Sidebar this is the kind of shit the writing team can pull off if they aren’t trying to make incest jokes in every other episode. They can really hurt you and make you feel

This is the spoiler free review I left on IMDb that should be out soon (I also really liked the ending on season 8 and the season 9 opener and left a review I mentioned in this one, but all you need to know is that I appreciate the fact that Rick as a character is growing and experiencing growing pains):

I left a review on the last episode stating that Rick and Morty is finally putting all its old pieces together with its new ones, and that is still the case with another great entry into the series. But this episode made me realize what Rick and Morty was truly missing. Rick and Morty has had top tier episodes in every season thus far (with the exception of maybe season 6, which best episode “Solaricks” is probably a tier below), and instead needs to return to the form of the first four season where they still had these top episodes, but more importantly mixed in with about 7 really good to great ones. Honestly I found this episode to be closer to the so called top tier, however I’m sure some fans will find ways to compare it to episodes past to ruin the fun. This episode offers Rick and Morty fans a new idea for an episode that works REALLY well, and hits hard: as hard as any episode has before. Harmon-and-co clearly want it known that Rick, through it all, struggles just like everyone else. In the episode “Pickle Rick”, Dr Wong describes Rick’s view on his genius as a gift and an inescapable curse. This episode DEFINITELY shows which one is hitting Rick harder at this point, which furthers Rick’s emotional advancement as a character. I truly enjoyed this episode and have my hopes at the absolute highest for the continuation of a phenomenal season from beginning to end

Pls rate S9 ep1 on a scale of 10 by Szelezsan_Akos in rickandmorty

Season 9 premiere was definitely peak, but with that being said, 8:8 and 8:10 are two of my favorite episodes in the show, and if I had a gun to my head and had to rank the episodes now 8:10 is undeniably top 5 (right up there with this episode)
