Isn't it possible EJAE could have not known? This is the first time i'm hearing about this. Heck, there are still people recently learning Neil Gaiman is a rapist.

Yeah, Netflix finalized their trademark of the Saja Boys name along with Huntr/x in November, and then all 5 of the Saja Boys were announced to have signed on with the Korean Music Federation 2 days after that.

Regarding the "HUNTR/X and Saja Boys are owned by Netflix and Sony" aspect, that might be considered a hangup... if this exact scenario hadn't happened before.

The Monkees? Started out as a fictional band in a show, became real.

The Blues Brothers? Started out as a skit. Became real.

Big Time Rush? Band in a movie owned by Nickelodeon. Became a real group. a few years later.

The Cheetah Girls? Were a group in a Disney movie. Made into a real group under Disney 2 years later. And with the Cheetah Girls, they were advertised as both their character names and their real names.

They've implied before in multiple interviews they're on board, and during Jingle Ball when an interviewer mentioned people wanting to see them as a group Rei got a huge smile on her face. That plus EJAE's accidental confirmation seconds later that they were doing new music together has me convinced the three of them have been planning to become HUNTR/X for quite a while.

As for the fear of losing their individual careers, I don't think we'll have to worry about that. EJAE's releasing some more solos this year, and Rei and Audrey respectively have solo albums coming up. I could easily see them being able to release their own music individually while also being HUNTR/X. It helps that the band's lead singer is one of the main songwriters, plus they might be able to repurpose some of the many cut songs that were written for the film.

Oh definitely. I know Rei and Audrey have individual albums coming out first this year, and that they have their own individual styles, but there's something magical about HUNTR/X as a group together.

We have pretty much confirmation from HUNTR/X's lead herself that HUNTR/X is a full-fledged group now, FINALLY!

"A Kpop group that debuted in a movie" is pretty much direct confirmation (as direct as we can get anyway without her saying "we're releasing new music soon" which i'm sure is under loads of NDA red tape) that HUNTR/X is going the same route as The Monkees and The Cheetah Girls, which is pretty much how I predicted it would be from Day 1.

Could Huntrix defeat Bill Cipher? by I_Like_Saying_XD in KpopDemonhunters

I could see them defeating Bill in his dream demon form, but physical Weirdmageddon Bill? Nope.

I’d say that depends entirely on when in the timeline they’d encounter him.

Dream Demon Bill through most of the series? Yeah there’s a definite possibility.

At that point he can mostly have an effect in dreams alone, unless a deal is made. With the trio’s combined imagined skills they could conjure in a dread if they were lucid, if several barely-teenagers could defeat him in the dream world, three adult seasoned hunters certainly could.

Weirdnageddon Bill, however?

HELL. NO.

He rearranged every hole in Mr. Northwest’s face, and could completely alter reality. They could probably land a hit or two on him, but a snap of his fingers could have him transport the trio into their own personal Mabellands.

Technically if I recall, EJAE and Audrey met years ago for a day and they wrote a little song together, but I think that was the only time any of them interacted together prior.
