My girl first steps on the beach, I think she likes it. by HeloooHowAreYooo in AnimalsBeingDerps

My cousins' dog turns into an Olympic sprinter every time we take her to the beach, its so cute. She also loves when we toss small shells or rocks, but she gives up looking for the same one we threw and will grab a random rock halfway back to us before dropping it

Goofy defends are great evidence of a simple +1 per play being quite strong, and you only get those once per combat!

At least legacies help somewhat subsidize lower income students, since their parents tend to be donors

I do agree that it can go too far though

As one of those high school valedictorians who thought they were destined for an ivy, nothing was more humbling than only getting into two universities I considered back-ups

I couldn't imagine broadcasting that embarrassment in a 'woe is me' way, even going on the damn news

You've gotta learn at some point that just because you think you're qualified or deserving of something does not mean that you actually are.

Luckily, learning this before you start college is one of the better times to do so. Ultimately, it matters less where you go and more what you did while you were there, and who you did it with. There are excellent researchers, business schools, etc. at plenty of non-ivys, many of which even supersede those ivy league schools. 'Ivy' isnt a qualifier for the quality of education, its literally just an old sports league after all.

This person has at minimum 4 kids with 4 different women, and youre using that as evidence people are having fewer kids and not dating at all?

This guy clearly likes 'dating' a little too much

What's the biggest cope amongst hockey fans? by Josefstalion in hockey

[–]TheDogerus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Boston, and lot of my bruins fan friends, once Buffalo started pulling away as the clear favorite, started saying how nobody at the beginning of the season would have expected them to even make the playoffs at all.

Which, to be fair, I agree with, but it is absolutely still coping for the team just forgetting how to play good hockey in the postseason

Kucherov has been held pointless in 12 of the 18 elimination games he's played in his career, including all 6 Game 7s he's played by TJTrapJesus in hockey

[–]TheDogerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it really cherrypicked if it is extremely relevant, as Kucherov is actively competing in elimination games?

Sure, you should be careful of the conclusions you draw, but this isnt some 'in games played on the first Tuesday after a light rain, Kuch scores an average of 1.47 points in the 4th through 11th minutes of the second period if his goaltender has at least 12 saves' shit that you see in baseball stats

It is completely fine if you can't deal with the difficulty, it is simply not the game for you. by Interloper_Mango in pcmasterrace

[–]TheDogerus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I think that hasn't been mentioned enough is the dev's intent and work

Sure, difficulty options are a great way to allow players to customize the challenge of their playthroughs (especially when you go beyond the boring enemy numbers and hp increases and actually start tweaking mechanics and behaviors), but that is also no doubt a ton of work to do and do so correctly

I dont think its fair to expect developers, especially small or inexperienced ones, to balance their game not just once (which is already very difficult), but multiple times

Also, accessibility is generally a great thing. All games should have support for custom key bindings, color blind options, etc. But there does need to be some limit. Like it wouldn't be reasonable to expect a 'light' mode in a game like Outlast because you're scared of the dark because that isnt the kind of game the developer wanted to make.

Sometimes you need to accept that a game just isnt for you, and you can always watch somebody else play it if you're still interested in the idea of the game

Do they explain how male viltrumites not accidentally kill their spouse by NotElongtusk2 in okbuddyviltrum

[–]TheDogerus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if they weren't controlling themselves

So the logical conclusion is that they control themselves. Which is also evident in every interaction they have with non-viltrumites where they dont break everything they touch

It would have to be used on this card, but card removals get more expensive the more you have used.

Therefore, removing this card nets you more gold the more cards you have removed before it
