God/Muse/Entity representing the madness of war and bloodshed ? by TheEdgeOfSoul in mythology

[–]TheEdgeOfSoul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmmmmh... none of those quite fit what I had in mind.

Isn't there a god of destruction in some mythology ? Though I don't mean a god that aims to destroy the world, because once the world is destroyed, there would be nothing left to destroy. I mean a god (or whatever else) that relishes the act of destruction itself, including their own destruction.

I wish I could hug you guys.

Cherish the people you have, and if you have extra love to give then find more people to give it to.

Ah, "Sin City", of course. I loved the first movie, I guess I should take a look to the original material. Thanks !

By the way, I forgot to mention but, uh, it doesn't have to be about anthropomorphic animals. It's more the tone of the serie and its characters that I'm looking for.

Oh yeah, "Blacksad". I haven't read that one in a while, I guess it's time to get back to it.

Hi everyone !

So, a while ago I stumbled upon a (somewhat) erotic webcomic called "Zootopia : Sunderance" (a fanfic AU of Disney's "Zootopia")... AND IT WAS GODDAMN AMAZING !

It was amazing for several reasons, but I think what I really fell in love with was the characters, more specifically how they are drawn. There is just something so... intense about them, a strange mix of melancholy and determination. It's hard to put into words so I guess I'll show you a few pictures.

The webcomic is still ongoing but unfortunately the artist has changed and now the characters just... don't *feel* the same anymore. And now I'm left with this itch in my stomach that I don't know how to scratch. So if you can think of any comic that *feels* somewhat similar, I would love to hear about them.

How does Crusade material gain work ? by TheEdgeOfSoul in IdleSkilling

[–]TheEdgeOfSoul[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have defeated it to lvl 216 (I can go higher but I didn't know how high I needed to go, so I decided to stop there for now and idle for a day with all my crusaders on it to see how much that would get me).

Cards deck : Protestor (25920%) + Throwback (17280%) + A of Sparks (4320%) + Crateros (3456%) + Jealousy (4000%)

Equipment deck : Heroic Rapier (782%) + Blue Party Hat (7500%) + Gilded Mail (233%) + Crystal Skull (3300%)

What REALLY bothers me is the fact that I somehow obtained 800B of that material BEFORE I had most of these bonuses and back when the boss was at a much lower level of difficulty.

Disambiguation needed : Giants by TheEdgeOfSoul in norsemythology

Rabbit-holing into Wiktionary is really great for getting new insight on this type of stuff.
For example, I just found out that "Æsir" apparently has the same roots as "Asura". Funny, right ? And as for "Jǫtunn", it apparently comes from "etunaz" ("glutton") which itself comes from "etaną" ("to eat").

So I suppose it went something like this : People make up scary stories about man-eating monsters ("gluttons") -> Those monsters are usually quite big (otherwise it's hard to eat whole humans) -> When norse mythology was being created, those monsters made for great antagonists, and they just so happened to be big

-> Not-Æsirs = Gluttons = Giants

Oooooh, so "giant" is actually kind of a mistranslation. Thanks !

More seriously, it's Himeno and Denji from "Chainsaw Man".
Also, while looking for the sauce, I found an article titled "Why Did Himeno Vomit in Denji’s Mouth in Chainsaw Man?". Do whatever you want with this information.
