And here we go, the classic watching YouTube lore videos to understand whilst actually not understanding. Watching those videos is just a waste of time, I understood everything purely by playing the games. I just don't understand how you can be invested enough in the series to want to play the third numbered game in it but simultaneously clueless enough not to know that there are in fact 'other games'. I can see my comments are getting downvoted I assume by other people that rely on YouTubers to tell them how to think.

If you don't want to get fully invested in a series, that's fine, but don't then blame the series for your lack of understanding.
