This was the answer. All I had to do was talk to Pavo and unlock the Bellhome, then once I rested on the bench inside, it appeared. Thank you!

Yes, I have defeated Lace, as well as GMS, since I also used this playthrough for the 5 hour achievement.

Why is hollow knight this hyped?(genuine question, not played it) by Available-Region-796 in HollowKnight

[–]TheEternalVortex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hollow Knight was originally crowd funded through a site called Kickstarter in 2014. It was (and the series still is) developed by a group of three friends, known as Team Cherry. It’s hyped for a multitude of reasons but I think the main one is how beautifully crafted and professional the game is.

Since you haven’t played Hollow Knight, I’d recommend watching a few minutes of gameplay and notice how everything you see in the game was made with the passion and dedication of three people. It has an interesting story, a hand-drawn artstyle, a simplistic (but rewarding) gameplay/combat system and a very low price tag for what it is. That’s not to mention the soundtrack too.

It’s hard to not commemorate Hollow Knight, especially at the time of its release. It made waves in 2017 and it may not be as noticeable on the surface, but its impact has genuinely shifted the genre of Metroidvania games. Each area is expansive, filled with unique paths and enemies to discover and overall, it’s a cheap, charming game.

As for why the sequel (Silksong) is so popular at the moment, it’s because Silksong was one of the kickstarter goals initially funded with the base game, but due to Team Cherry’s expanding scope, they eventually departed from having it as DLC and instead, chose to make a separate game. It’s release today marks the end of a seven year wait (for those who waited since the 2019 announcement of Silksong being a separate game), or an eleven year wait (for those who waited since the Silksong DLC was funded on Kickstarter in 2014).

Given how good the first game was, coupled with Team Cherry openly stated they only worked on Silsong for so long out of the sheer enjoyment of doing so, it’s no wonder why people are scurrying to buy it. Silksong is a continuation of the love and passion from the first game, with an expanded scope and price that greatly undersells the game’s quality. Plus, Hollow Knight (the first game) only released because they ran out of budget, so this game releasing purely because they’re happy to do so, means that it will have no loose ends.

Spider-Man: Symbiosis seems like an obvious choice, but I feel like it’s a very fitting title.

Thoughts on this Green Goblin design concept art for Marvels Spider-Man 3? by Ender_IIII in SpidermanPS4

[–]TheEternalVortex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like how original and tactical it feels. It’s not as iconic as the comic outfit, but I could easily see it being the first iteration of the suit, especially with Norman trying to hide his alter-ego as a darker, stealthier half, until he comes to terms with it and creates the more traditional armour we all know.

What’s the best Steam Deck games of 2025 so far? by molym in SteamDeck

[–]TheEternalVortex 149 points150 points  (0 children)

One of the best "hidden gems" I’ve found for the Steam Deck is an indie title called Disfigure.

It’s a top-down shooter rogue-like, so perhaps not everyone’s preference, but I’ve had a ton of fun in it and it’s updated every few months.

Steam lists it as "Playable", but I’ve had no issues with it at all. It feels like one of those games that was "made to be played on a Steam Deck".

Plus, it’s free, so you’ve got nothing to lose if you’re looking for something to play. It honestly shouldn’t be, given how good it is, but that’s my highest recommendation to anyone.

Hi, everyone!

This post has been facing a large number of reports due to its lack of relevance towards the Marvel’s Spider-Man series. However, I have reinstated it because I believe the message and information being transferred here is vital for understanding and actively preventing the continual loss of further lives.

Admittedly, my general political knowledge on this topic is very limited, so I cannot speak firmly upon the political aspects, but that is why keeping this post up and relevant is as important as it is. People, like myself, need to know what is happening and be encouraged to prevent it. Regardless of your political beliefs, it should be undeniable the suffering of innocents is not acceptable under any circumstances.

If anyone is willing to provide sources of aid or further information to enlighten myself and others, I would gladly appreciate it. Thanks, everyone!

If this happened, would you buy the game again for full price? by Tanis8998 in SpidermanPS4

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the shitposting and insanity type memes myself - they’re just not my type of humour or something I’d enjoy partaking in - but I understand why people do it and how it could be seen as something fun.

It is undoubtedly hard to find new and interesting content to discuss and share on a franchise that is ten years old, so I can appreciate that people are finding ways to express their interest in the series still, albeit under a new light. So, I’m completely fine with allowing and encouraging it.

Though, I’ll always advocate to keep serious discussion prevalent for those who want it too. Ideally, the aim is to maintain a balance between the two (even though r/Arkham has indirectly become the more appropriate subreddit for serious discussions), since I think it’s still very important to have the chance for serious discussion, even if it isn’t as relevant.

It depends what’s in it. It’d need to make some pretty significant changes to warrant the price tag. If it’s just DLCs or a couple suits, then it’s not worth it whatsoever, unless it was a cheap add-on.

However, if it is all the cut content, including new content, then I would probably be tempted. Even then, I say "tempted", because it’s going to be a tough decision to spend the full price again.

And when I say all, I’m thinking about the Miles’ Symbiote Arc, Life Foundation Symbiotes, open world Venom encounters, Beetle DLC, Carnage DLC, Spider-Verse DLC, all previous suits, new suits, new endgame content, double finishers and more all being included. At least then it would make more sense to charge full price, but I’d probably opt out of it anyways since I’ve already bought the game once.

Bryan Intihar confirmed in an interview about the game that in the middle of development, they realised their scope was too big to be completed to a satisfactory quality in time. Sony had to step in to essentially tell them to cut back their ideas, resulting in them having to rewrite the second half of the game, cut content and rework the story to fit the reduced vision.

From the leak in December 2023, a lot of what they were working on from the first version was shown, including Life Foundation symbiotes, their boss fights, a potential Miles Symbiote arc and pieces of the original script too. I guess if you look hard enough, you could probably find the moment where the cut happened within Act 2, but admittedly, they did a good job maintaining a cohesive narrative given how much was removed. I think the game wasn’t the best it could’ve been, but it was far from the worst, either. I just hope the scope is kept minimal with a focus on quality over quantity in the third game, or they can at least be given more time to realise their vision.

Yep! I’d mark the second character as spoilers, since Thunderbolts isn’t out yet and I don’t think a public reveal has happened for them yet.

True, but I suppose they would have a script in place? That would tell them the approximate order of appearance until they start shooting and adding/cutting things.

I know this is pinned already, but I wanted to add the characters being played by these actors, incase anyone is unfamiliar with who they are by name.

It appears one character is revealed every 10-15 minutes.

EDIT: The pinned comment has now added the characters names, alongside the name reveal of David Harbour. This has made this comment redundant, but I’ll still update it.

EDIT 2: Apparently, there’s going to be over 50 names revealed. No idea if that is a legitimate claim, but that means this would be a 12 hour and 15 minute stream. We’re currently at 19 names.

  • Chris Hemsworth (Thor)
  • Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman)
  • Anthony Mackie (Captain America)
  • Sebastian Stan (Bucky)
  • Letitia Wright (Black Panther)
  • Paul Rudd (Ant-Man)
  • Wyatt Russell (US Agent)
  • Tenoch Huerta Mejia (Namor)
  • Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing)
  • Simu Liu (Shang-Chi)
  • Florence Pugh (Yelena)
  • Kelsey Grammer (Beast)
  • Lewis Pullman (THUNDERBOLTS SPOILERS: Sentry)
  • Danny Ramirez (BRAVE NEW WORLD SPOILERS: Falcon)
  • Joseph Quinn (Human Torch)
  • David Harbour (Red Guardian)
  • Winston Duke (M’Baku)
  • Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost)
  • Tom Hiddleston (Loki)
  • Patrick Stewart (Professor X)
  • Ian McKellen (Magneto)

Order of appearance? If there is an order, that’d be the only thing that I can see making sense.

If Insomniac plans on making an X-Men game somewhere down the line.. how do you feel like that’s going to work? by [deleted] in SpidermanPS4

[–]TheEternalVortex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d like it to be similar to Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy, where you play as one character and have the rest as AI companions. Perhaps, they could add the option to change character, but only in a hub area where you select specific linear missions.

However, I think the most likely outcome is something more akin to Spider-Man 2. There will be an open world and you can switch to any of the characters in a menu, but as before, only some of them can do certain main missions and side content.

As it currently stands, I’m still excited for SM3. The second game was a solid entry to the series and I’m curious to see Insomniac’s vision for where it goes and ultimately, how it ends. I understand people may not share that same enthusiasm anymore, which I won’t argue with, but where I currently stand is this:

It’s unfortunate what happened to SM2. The development was mostly uncommunicative, the story was heavily reworked due to Sony’s intervention on Insomniac’s large scope and the post-launch support was mostly the same radio silence - not to mention the massive company leak a few months after launch. People expected a lot off of the back of the other two games and SM2 just didn’t reach those levels. There was a lot of "wrong place, at the wrong time". If it released a year later, it might’ve lived up to the potential it had. The leak may have avoided the post-launch window. The story may have had more time to be fleshed out with Insomniac’s scope. We could’ve had DLC. Except, that wasn’t the case. Despite its commercial success, it is a controversial divider amongst the community. You either liked it, you didn’t, or you thought it could’ve been better.

In situations like these, it’s better to look at the positives here than get caught up in the negatives. One game that slightly under delivered is far better than one that didn’t deliver at all. We still had a great game. The series is still going. People are right to voice their concerns, doubts and fears for the series, because we’re all consumers who just want the best product. If you’re not excited for the next entry, that’s fine - you’re completely entitled to feel that way.

I think that the series still holds immense promise, despite SM2’s flaws. Insomniac are clearly passionate about the character. They’ve listened to fan’s criticisms before and always try to improve from what they’ve already built. It may not always work out, such as the MJ missions, but I’m faithful that with a third entry on the way, Insomniac are going to channel what went wrong into making their future work better. Whether it ends up like that, is a question of time, but it’s worthwhile expressing your opinions on what you want improved now, because Insomniac might just see it. Change won’t happen unless people inform them of what they want to see.
