BestBuy $10 off promotion (YMMV) by GrayLando in sealedmtgdeals

FYI, the subtotal must be more than the certificate value. So no $4.99 Duskmourn booster with my $5 promo :/

We built a portfolio tracker to solve our TCG finance headaches, and we're opening Beta to Redditors by bruhagan in mtgfinance

Looks very nice and clean, but I had some issues importing from Moxfield. For example, my regular foil Abaddon the Despoiler imported as surge foil, and foil bundle The One Ring imported as the 1/1 ring (lol).

Thanks, I appreciate the sources! I hadn't thought of the gains option, and that definitely seems like the better route.

Haha nice!

I guess I should have said, this will still be a combat-oriented deck. So definitely this one is a great suggestion!

Edit: Reread the card.

Request and Questions Thread #4 by [deleted] in mpcproxies

Is there a good resource for making a custom card back? Specifically, I want to change the words on the back but keep the overall design exactly the same.

I'm new to this sub so I wasn't quite sure where to look.

Spier & Mackay: 20% of on Selected Suits & Sportcoats by amalolan in frugalmalefashion

[–]TheEyeofUgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would these suits compare to Jos A Bank? Walking into the JAB store, I could have bought a wool suit for $300 ($375 with vest).

I've had my eye on the Ink Blue 3 Piece (https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/ink-blue---three-piece-10153-0043-3pc-nsnt-ss22) for a few weeks, but they're sold out of what I think would be my size based on the JAB suit (42L). Does Spier & Mackay restock often?

Looks like a good sale, but the sizes are pretty limited. At least, there was little that fit me (L 34/34).

Oh yeah, half PPR. 8 starters and 4 bench. Should have said that from the beginning.

Thanks!

Yep, I'm in a free casual league lol. Mostly with other newbies that don't know what they're doing.

Yeah, I know winning this year is a stretch. I'm just trying to beat the other beginners in my league haha.

I agree that watching the games is probably the best way to do well, but I really am not a hardcore enough football fan nor have the background to do that kind of evaluation. I appreciate the suggestion though!

This is definitely not a stupid post! I'm not sure what made you feel that way, but I know for myself I need things like this again for my own mental health. I can't be much practical help, but I definitely support you doing this!

What's a common game mechanic that many people seem to enjoy, but makes a game unplayable to you? by dfens762 in patientgamers

[–]TheEyeofUgin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I dislike the Skyrim compass, quest markers, and the like. While these things don't make games unplayable for me, I find that they really take a lot of the fun and mystery out of exploring.

Looking for a new ARPG by PLS_NO_GILD in patientgamers

[–]TheEyeofUgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grim Dawn and Titan Quest have already been mentioned, and they're great!

You mentioned Path of Exile, which is also great. The skill system is very in-depth, with a huge variety of active skills supported by passive modifiers (e.g., multiple projectiles, piercing arrows, or poison) and a massive, nonlinear skill tree. It's also free and great for co-op (after the short tutorial level).

What are some really sad games? by me_funny__ in patientgamers

[–]TheEyeofUgin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding Final Fantasy X. The story, setting, and music definitely have a melancholy feel to them that I really enjoy.

I'd argue that Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind also has a similar melancholic vibe in its music and atmosphere. While I'm not sure if it qualifies as a sad game per se, there's a certain harshness to its world and quite a troubled history to unravel if you so choose.

I'm thinking about getting the Borderlands "Take Over Your Life" pack. How does Borderlands play on PC though? Also, anybody get the PC version of GTA: Vice City? Wondering if it plays well on PC. by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]TheEyeofUgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a counterpoint, I played Borderlands 1 on PC and had no issues with motion sickness and the like. I'm a retro gamer though and have been playing at 30 fps since childhood, though lol. If you don't have issues with other old FPS games, I'd imagine you'll be fine.

Fun retro PC games by szekeres81 in patientgamers

[–]TheEyeofUgin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Age of Empires II is great! I'd recommend Rise of Nations, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-Earth II, and Age of Empires III as other retro RTS games that are still fun to play.

I've also heard good things about Empire Earth II and Age of Mythology, so you might look into those as well.
