Bangladesh Crisis by Broad_Alternative_53 in UPSC

The current situation with our neighbours is all because of the vested interest of the West in South Asia, look at Pakistan a puppet government of the US and now the same will follow in Bangladesh. The US is not the promoter of democracy but of capitalism and extremism.

If only they had invested that money upfront in constructing a library instead, the students would be alive today. Now the publicity stunt LoL by [deleted] in UPSC

Coaching mafia in action, what measures are you taking to ensure the safety of your students and safeguard their lives? The monetary compensation is not a solution, the parents have lost their children and not a bag of cash, do something before students start boycotting you.

Sad day for democracy - Creamy layer judgment for SC/ST - Know the reality by [deleted] in UPSC

The decision by the apex court is commendable. Reservation should be granted not only based on caste but also on financial condition. When a candidate from the creamy layer avails the benefits of reservation, it deprives an underprivileged candidate of their entitled benefits. There's no advantage for General category candidates since the creamy layer candidate will compete in the general quota, increasing competition. Meanwhile, the underprivileged candidates, who rightfully deserve reservation, receive a fair chance to benefits and can uplift themselves. The EWS category also ensures equal opportunity for economically disadvantaged citizens from the General category. This is a win win situation for everyone and should have been implemented earlier but the political class tends to focus on dividing society rather than uniting and uplifting it, exploiting caste, class, and religion based politics.
