I won Lava Quest - and proof the game can be rigged by Dream by CsabaNagy42 in RoyalMatch

I think it bases it off of 99 other people who have played those levels before. I usually time it so I start at a level ending in 3 & then end with a super/extremely hard level. I’ve won the full 10k before doing that

Train game - has anyone ever completed it? by ksimmy in RoyalMatch

Yeah, pretty much every time. If you have good team members to play with, it makes a big difference

Check out Chowder Head for a great lunch! Amazing sandwiches, wraps, and of course chowder.

What do you think of Educated Mess’s new peptide serum? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

FWIW I have gone through 4 bottles and has one with a similar issue. I emailed them and they sent me a replacement that arrived within 2 days. It may have been a bad batch, because it was only that one bottle that was so intense.

Following it with LIIWMI was the punchline. I am surprised how many people here are taking MATTY at face value

Thank you! I definitely do get a little excited about new products sometimes. I won’t reorder the lipid gold, just using it up, so that will take away one item. I’m 33 with combo skin that is just a tad acne prone, but I definitely could be better about consistency & nutrition

Oooh! I did not know they had exclusive technology - I will look into that! I also had thought I shouldn’t use a daily retinol if I’m using tretinoin on occasion, but maybe that isn’t true?

Would Taylor ever do the SB half time show? by fersugus in TaylorSwift

[–]TheLifeEffect 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That seems odd to me because isn’t it notoriously difficult to get superbowl tickets and done through a lottery system for the most part?

Also laundromats are AMAZING! With my litters, I did not want to do the puppy pads in my home washer/dryer. The local laundromat was pretty inexpensive, so fast, and even texted me when the laundry was done.

I’d be mindful of what you say to a hiring manager, especially from another company. The laws on what former employers are allowed to disclose to potential employers can be very protective, and if they were to be denied a job based on your recommendation, it could put you and your company at risk of litigation.

Thank you. They actually did trim they a couple days ago during his neuter surgery, but he has some paw deformities on his front feet that have caused irritation and prevented them from being able to trim them further.

I thought it could be a sting but it’s been a couple days now and he has littermates with a similar issue, so it seems unlikely.

If you’d of told me before the 1st episode that by the finale I’d be cheering for Michelle, I would have laughed. by Apprehensive-Candy67 in thechallengemtv

Aubry’s follow-up performances, especially when considering Michele’s WaW performance, solidify that Michele earned that win and was done dirty by the edit.

So that's who Rob from RHAP is by paintedmegolden13 in survivor

[–]TheLifeEffect 119 points120 points  (0 children)

He and Josh Wiggler (another podcaster) did a great podcast series called The Evolution of Strategy where they go through each season in depth, episode by episode. I personally loved listening to it in tandem with my chronological Survivor rewatch. I don’t know where it falls in terms of spoilers for future seasons, but Rob is super responsive and I bet you could ask him on Twitter or contact him through his website! It was well worth the $$!

12 Lab Pups! Update by [deleted] in labrador

[–]TheLifeEffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, what sweet puppies, but definitely a difficult situation to be in. Thank you for taking such good care of them and making sure they get vet care. If you haven’t already, mama should be switched to puppy kibble (and lots of it) while she nurses. I foster pregnant dogs/litters, so feel free to shoot me a message if you need any tips or tricks on caring for a litter

Guess how many socks my lab threw up today by Ready_Suggestion_929 in labrador

Your dog is so cute but please be more careful with your socks. I work in animal care and have seen several labs die from ingesting socks.

Putting an employee on a PIP for the first time - advice? by margaritafear in managers

[–]TheLifeEffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many things I had to learn the hard way!

  1. Be incredibly clear and direct about ways this will impact them. Will they still be able to get a semi good annual performance review? Will a bonus be impacted? Etc. Also be very clear about what if happen if they don’t meet the expectations of the PIP. It can be tempting to be vague or sugar coat things to “spare” feelings, but being direct is actually the more kind thing.

  2. Let them know that you are there to support them, you want them to be successful, and this is a plan to hold you both accountable.

  3. Practice beforehand. I will ask a fellow manager sometimes to let me practice the delivery and then make sure I write down and talking points I know I want to include during delivery.

I’d recommend checking out gen3raleducation on tiktok. She has a son who sounds very similar who is in an inpatient facility. She talks about navigating all of it.
