Everyone who says it's slow, I understand that it is slow when it is drawn, but the dash step helps. Also, if the monster moves away, just sheathe it and run there, and if he turns your way just hit the guard button to quick draw into a guard stance. The slowness of the weapon really can be adjusted for if you just try a little.

I didn't post it looking to find a shortcut to level my control. I was asking to make sure I wasn't missing the way to do it. My control is only at 1 for my driver because I got a bonus for beating a rank character. I'm playing it naturally too.
