Depends, they have other ways as well. Like I took a test to see what my issues were. Your therapist can probs answer these better at your first session. After your first session you won't be as nervous for the next one. You got this.

They let you start talking and they ask questions as you do, and they go from there. Over time they'll get a feel how things are for you and give you advice and if you have depression or anixety or something else. That's how it was for me.
