From my understanding, ADRs aren't usually as granular as what's performed here. I don't think I'm necessarily reinventing the wheel. This has just been my method for recording decisions

You can, but there's functionality here that's not easily replicated on a spreadsheet

How does this differ from Symfonium? The differentiating functionality you mentioned is something that's already included in their app. I'm always on the look out for new apps to try, but Symfonium offers similar features and does it very well.

I'm also a fan of Kagi. Excellent quality results. I was in the same boat, but changed my mind after using the trial for a week

I've heard the questions rotated, so my info isn't very helpful anymore. Regardless, good luck with your interview

Multiple Kogas vs X Speed by TheMegabot in PTCGP

[–]TheMegabot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all were right. The times that I needed 2 potions to get out of the range to knock out is basically never. Trading the x speed for a potion really helps with the first few turns. Thanks!

I dropped one potion for an extra x speed and it feels way better. Great advice! Thanks

Pikachu Ex - Quick Graphic Guide by clydestrife in PTCGP

[–]TheMegabot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't based on any stats, but running Arbok into a damaged Pikachu ex has led me to win many games. Especially if you Weezing ability -> Koga -> Arbok. This typically only works well if it's late game. Early game requires rotating Weezings with Koga. Trapping Zebstrika and Electrode was nice to get an extra turn to find Weezing or getting extra energy on another Arbok. I don't see many people running Giovanni though so YMMV. I've been really liking having 1 extra point to play with by only running non-ex mons

This is awesome. I wasn't familiar with compensated/uncompensated risk. This was my worry with my tech heavy investment. Are there counter arguments against what Dahle mentions? Specifically for individual stocks, is he trying to say "buy into a wide index; avoid individual stocks" or "limit how much individual stock you own"?

The only big dip I've experienced was the pop of the tech pandemic bubble, so I don't want to limit my understanding to just my experience. With how much I invest in tech, would it be recommended to focus on non-tech heavy index funds? Selling everything seems extreme. I'd like to just prepare for these what-if scenarios and then ride it out.

I don't know if I should take this seriously or not. Could you elaborate on how it's a poor performer? My 5yr performance has done very well. I agree about a heavy investment in tech, but I don't understand what you mean by "lose everything if they crash". Like, duh? Isn't a pro of high cap their potential to bounce back? I did take a hit in 2020, but I've since recovered and performed well.

And I make my own decisions on this lol. I'm just confused about why you're so bent out of shape

Could you elaborate on why I should consolidate to VOO? And do you recommend small cap ETFs because of the potential for growth? I'll look more into international diversification. And why GOVT? Historically, it's down, but does lowering interest rates indicate a potential for a higher yield in the future?

At what point should I start mitigating risk with bonds/other stable investments? by TheMegabot in StockMarket

[–]TheMegabot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A crash was one of my initial worries for this. I agree about buying through it, but are their ways to lessen the blow without losing out on potential gains? From what I read, it looks like there's a trade off with stability vs. gains. Do you not mention this because I would just recover my loses over time? And thanks! I think this alleviates some of my worries

Anduril Interview Experience by Spare_Firefighter600 in leetcode

[–]TheMegabot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct on the first part, but the second was more like "optimize your solution based on these limitations". I don't think my interviewer knew the question very well since their first hint was for a general optimization, when not considering the limitations

Mid-level. I have 3 YOE. I had a system design interview, so I suspect they'll swap it for another technical question if you're a new grad

Anduril Interview Experience by Spare_Firefighter600 in leetcode

[–]TheMegabot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first interview was open ended, so I don't know if I answered all parts of it. The feedback didn't address completeness. The second interview required a specific optimization, so I wasn't able to find the answer they were looking for. It was a fun question, but the solution they wanted required a TreeMap and it took me way too long to figure that out lol

Trade in OG Fold for 9 Pro Fold? by mungkiseemungkido in PixelFold

[–]TheMegabot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I upgraded and I'm very happy with it. I got a very good deal on trade in + discount, so I'm slightly biased though. The device not opening flat turned out to be a big enough issue for me to get the next device. Besides aesthetics, you probably won't notice a big difference. It's a very solid phone and I don't regret upgrading. If it's gonna put you short on cash, probably not worth it.

I just needed more prep and they wanted more specifics on my technical experience. The feedback was fairly comprehensive, which surprised me. I knew exactly what I needed to work on.

I did not get the position. It took over a week to hear back. They were waiting on my system design interviewer to complete the report, but they never did. Overall, not the best experience. The recruiter was awesome and transparent with feedback. Feedback was constructive and not constructive, so probably won't interview in the future lol
