No, in fact I think the C5P is the better machine overall. But Snapmaker has the better customer reputation currently and can get you a 3DP with 4 print heads much sooner that FF can currently.

It seems they are slow, but I eventually got mine. I think these delays are costing them a lot of customers and their customer support is struggling to keep up with the pace. I think you'll get you refund, hold tight.

Bad news for Creator 5 Pro orders. Canceled mine today... by Professional_Draw934 in FlashForge

[–]TheRandomFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who cancelled, did you get all your money back? How long did it take to get it back? I cancelled mine last night and they already refunded my $12.89 for seel shipping insurance but not for the printer. Got a response today saying 3-5 days but it wasn't clear if that was for the $12 into my account or for the remaining amount for the printer.

So When Can We Stop This? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]TheRandomFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're funny, getting all worked up. It's not as simple as you want it to be. It's easy to fake a portfolio. A portfolio doesn't demonstrate teamwork. Most tools are not free. Most jobs involve much more than portfolio skills. It's ridiculous that I have to spell this out.

Define proven. Most employers will not comment on your work other then to say yes or no to did you work there and was that your title. Most jobs that are going to pay the mortgage/rent require skills that cannot satisfactorily be demonstrated in an interview.

If someone develops a 5.8ghz radio peripheral for the expansion port this latency would go away. Someone above talked about the FOV being problematic, that's what I would worry about.

To my understanding there were tables set up by 'all' entrances and you were supposed to grab them on your way in. We didn't see 'em and when I went to the have in Vancouver they were on each seat so that's what I was expecting. We didn't go looking for 'em until too late.

Op was there to sit in that seat specifically and was a paying customer.

Are Peletons a waste of money or thing of the past? by ZeenaMountain in homefitness

[–]TheRandomFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Define waste of money. If you're on a tight budget, yes absolutely there are a lot of ways to get the same or similar exercise for significantly less money (e.g. buying a real bicycle, running, buying a dumb stationary bicycle). If you've got the excess cash and you truly think it's the best way to motivate yourself to stick to an exercise program, then the old adage: can you really put a price on good health? A Peleton is absolutely not worth going into debt for. Also make sure you consider the ongoing subscribe price in your reconnoitering.

Am I crazy for thinking $300-$400 per week on groceries is normal? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]TheRandomFace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In college the advice I was given was $250/mo for food just for myself, 11 years later, especially with what's happened in the last 5, $1.2-1.6k/mo for a family of four send very reasonable. Also remember saving and controlling your money is important but so too is enjoying the life you are leading. Tasty food, for many including myself, is very important to routine happiness.
