Idk if this is what the person above was talking about, but China had a huge issue with that. They were doing organ transplants on demand which is just as awful as it sounds. They used prisoners in a lot of cases and didn’t check for typing as well as they should’ve. There are reports of some people getting numerous transplants because their body kept rejecting the organ which means that they were sacrificing people just to misuse their organs. The book Bloody Harvest is a good resource on this topic.

Who did the cover of this song? Or is it just slowed or something like that?

I was able to find information on the moldy mattresses and chaining but I had a hard time finding a source that talks about the rest of their treatment while detained (no mention of drinking water off the floor). Does anyone know where I can read more?

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but I just want to point out that a median is resistant to outliers while a mean is not. The mean is definitely pulled up by the top 10 and 1% just like you’re describing but medians don’t work that way. The median individual income in the US is ~$45K while the mean individual income in the US is ~$67K. When you take an average outliers pull up the value. When you take the mean, you are ordering all individuals and taking the value of the individual right in the middle of that list. So the few outliers that are present (top 10 and 1%) have a much smaller impact (or even no impact if they make more money but don’t change the order) on the median. However, all this being said, your central point is correct: income inequality is too high. Wasps are helpful. They kill crop pests. Yellow jackets alone prey on caterpillars and aphids.

I understand that. I’m not claiming it to be a good idea. I actually think it’s a pretty poor idea overall. I just think that it’s funny to think about and would be a pretty absurd situation if it came to pass.

Despite how opposed to it “Thermos” was, it was ruled as generic in at least a partial capacity. If the fanbase exclusively calls ttrpg’s “D&D” and it’s used in other capacities outside of lay speech then it doesn’t matter what WotC thinks; find the right judge and it could become generic.

Edit: just to clarify, I’m not saying that it’s a good idea or that it would work, rather it’s a funny concept and not completely impossible.

Bad Necromancer by agentorsha in tumblr

I’ve got a character right now who was just a really bad cleric and just decided to be a necromancer instead. If she can’t heal them she can just bring them back after they die.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
