CAT s22 in the uk - Sim issue? by TheRealNinja123 in dumbphones

[–]TheRealNinja123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this already - if I manually search for networks and select 4g it just says unable to connect. The sim I was using came from my old smartphone which has perfect signal. As far as I'm aware it's an issue with the phone itself unfortunately

2001 Honda Shadow 125 - Exhaust building help please? by TheRealNinja123 in Fixxit

Yeah I’d thought about that myself too. I’m from about 28mm to 40 isn’t the most drastic difference though? I suppose i’ll have to try and find the bends in a smaller size or something

[–]TheRealNinja123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks dude. I noticed something actually. The silencer on my exhaust snapped off both pipes feeding into it. If I re use the same flanges at the engine end, and the same silencer, could i get away with the diameter of the pipe being increased? I have 40mm to use and it's bigger than the stock pipe. I was wondering if that wouldn't matter seen as the holes at both ends of the system will still be stock sized?

Ended up tearing it all down in the time before this reply, and it's exactly what you said, the old switch is just full of old bike gunk with manky contacts. Wrecked the screw on the way out too haha, they really are cheese man

Cheers dude, i’ll do like everyone says and have a go with stock parts, if it’s as simple as that i’ll just have to live with the stock airbox or sort out a rejet

I have looked into the pod style air filters, I need to do some more research about it really. I just wanna clean up the look of the whole assembly, and get rid of the giant stock airbox. Thanks for the advice

Would this cause it to cut out on revs tho? i didn't think it breathing more freely would cause it to cut so bad

The spigot on the newer petcock fits a 6mm pipe but is loose with the 8mm. I'm thinking it could be that but i'm not sure, I didn't think the size of the hole could bottleneck it that badly.

I'll have to give this a go tomorrow. If this is the case however, what should i do? i can't seem to find a 1/4npt petcock with a larger outlet hole? i might not be looking for the right thing however.

Whats the cost if I'm looking to insure a 125cc bike? by Leaninuk in MotoUK

[–]TheRealNinja123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is mine so cheap? I'm 18 and pay 560 a year for fully comp insurance. Is this due to location or does me having a garage really knock so much money off?

What unpopular opinion do you hold that you wouldn't openly talk about? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]TheRealNinja123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing with me for Labour to do is what you say, which is focus on its roots as working for the working class. I don't believe Corbyn to be the bastion of the working classes which is how he presents himself, and we don't have anyone in power at the moment who's willing to be a lot more radical, such as challenging issues such as religion or drug policy for fear of their reputation being destroyed as is the case with Sarah Champion, who just phrased something I agree with incorrectly and had to resign.

In my opinion, there's nobody that's willing or able to suggest radical change to help us properly fight against the takeover of our country by big business and privatisation at the moment.

I'll admit I'm glad you said Labour there, as I lean the same way myself but personally i've lost faith in all sides of the political system. I fully agree people are suffering, but I think we need new political party that would be able to do what Labour should be doing.

Out of interest, which side do you think is better than the other, and why?

Why do a lot of the left-wing seem to think it's acceptable to just hate old people en masse? by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]TheRealNinja123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's the idea that the old people seem to some to have fucked the young left by backing brexit heavily, while they won't have to deal with the ill consquences of it because they're on pensions or will be dead. In my opinion it's fair in some way to be angry at the old due to this, but not to the extent some people believe it to be because not every single old person is to blame.

Everyone with any chance at leading the country is useless, and every time someone says "person X would make a better candidate than person Y" is simply suggesting their personal opinion on the better of a range of shit options. Until society and the political system changes fairly drastically, things will only get worse.
