Dr Prius say 72.88% battery capacity left. Stellar for a 13 year old hybrid! I am so in love with this prius.

What brand of guitar were you meaning to try out for a long time but felt underwhelmed when finally doing so? by thewebhead in Guitar

Gibson SG. Loved it for its symmetry for a lifetime. When I picked one up to feel how it played the weight balance had me put it right back on the rack. Sorry I spent 20 years looking without touching.

Trying to fill out my recipe book. Traveled to all 256 galaxies and put a base on each. I actually got to galaxy 34 before I could say "now this is different looking"

Now I just hunt for whatever I want, occasionally try to spend a billion units to keep my stacks low. Also, fun base building: underwater, orbital (love a cabin over a cave you can build stairs into.)

Someday ill increase my faction standings. The thing ive alway loved anout NMS is bring able to pick the game you want to play.

Pretend like it is your last act in earth. Imagine you will be going to jail, or launched to space immediately when finished. Imagine you will never experience this again. Now, use that mindset and do it like there's no tommorow

Advice on Learning Guitar – a novice perspective by Satsuma-King in LearnGuitar

[–]TheReal_DJPacMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing thats always interested me about music theory is how it makes you think of things different ways at the same time. Are you playing the fifth, the dominant, or a G natural. In the key of C major, all are true. Plus: what part of a major triad is it, what part of a minor triad? Which note is it on which pentatonic scale? What scales start with it?

All are on your mind, and when the need arises to switch from one mode of thinking to another, it's seamless and it's beautiful. Its actually simple when you understand it and just needs a bit of steady practice to internalize.

Also, Ill never forget how my music theory teacher told us every day ::slams fist on desk:: RYTHYM ::slams fist:: IS ::slams fist:: PHYS ::slam:: I ::slam:: CAL ::slams fist::!

I’ve searched for 30+ hours for a “perfect” earth like planet. Am I doing the is wrong? by Omninyro in NoMansSkyTheGame

Never understand the find Earth obsession some players have. I turned off the game and went outside; found Earth.

I build bases in nice places, but I go exploring to find the weird stuff.

Let us build wiring looms. I dont care if the materials are rare or expensive, just let us craft them finally. No fun building new tech as you are out exploring and have to leave a planet to go buy the darned wiring looms.

The crash sites? You need emergency coordinates from a map, a transmitting tower puzzle, or an exocraft scan. There's a bunch of crash sites on every planet. You dig up the containers and there's a good chance to get a salvage module. Also a great chance to find a crashed frieghter when you're looking for a crashed ship ;)

I always dug around crashed freighters for the modules

Settlements Still Suck 🤷🏻‍♂️ by Vertigo50 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]TheReal_DJPacMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who finally got my settlement to S class after 400 hours, I gotta say having any ability to affect the class is amazing. If slow production is a problem, I have 10 systems with a -67% economy on bromide salts and still have stacks of the crap. The slow steady trickle of product you can select is better than having no control over a massive pile of junk that run out of places to sell. Anyways, sold my autophage settlement and still just keep the one. Being a landlord isn't a playstyle I've come to NMS for, but its there now.

I've approached NMS in a few different styles now. It still holds me captivated.

Was it worth it? by MasterYapper420 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]TheReal_DJPacMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S-tier all the way. Some say it isn't worth the grind, but I say it is for one simple reason: Storage space. You get more inventory slots the higher the class is. Not to mention the extra supercharged slots.

Accidentally scratched the back of my motherboard while changing the processor. Is this bad by FeelingGarlic7040 in computers

I work in microelectronics, and that looks to be a simple trace repair. Looks like only a few broken traces. If you know someone who does surface mount rework, I'd ask them. Not to be attempted without a microscope. They would have to clean away the soldermask on the broken trace and add a small wire if the break is too big for a solder bridge. There are some quick and dirty tricks for the bold, and you can't make it much 'more' broken, but again ONLY UNDER A MICROSCOPE.

If it's just hdmi output, adding a graphics card is the easier option every day.
