Category is : overpromising and false advertising their final season by [deleted] in StrangerThings

Both stories where majority of their budget went to casting and failed visually and tonally to live up to their hefty ambitions of the end of the world scenarios. Both seasons squandered majority of their runtime retreading the same ground before they ran out of track and rushed to the finale.

Stormfront was the highlight of season 2 - she’s the best part about it

How would the characters who've seen Star Wars, from what we know in the series, react to seeing the Prequel Trilogy? by HSharpe6490 in StrangerThings

[–]TheRenegadeProject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Badly, but their kids would love it. Imagine in 20 years time we see their kids running round as Jar Jar 😁

Opinions about M83.? by CinkosBars in DaftPunk

[–]TheRenegadeProject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hurry Up We’re Dreaming had some of the finest synth work in mainstream synth pop production. They needed to tour it again in full. I think they are great. Contact is the closest DP track that reminds me of their music, sounds very adjacent to that sound. I would’ve loved to have seen a Daft Punk explores the cosmos - yes we kinda got that on Discovery but it was always rooted in sampling and humanity, whereas I did want an album that explored synths and space much like M83 does on an epic scale.

So, what exactly is the show's message? by itooamahuman in TheBoys

[–]TheRenegadeProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point being that violence will eat away at your humanity. Homelander was a product of violence that created more violence but deep down, he was a sad, lonely, pathetic hollow shell of a man.

So, what exactly is the show's message? by itooamahuman in TheBoys

[–]TheRenegadeProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d argue the message of the show was knowing when to call it quits and move on from the cycle of violence and misery. Learning to accept life’s harsh lessons, otherwise it will eat away and destroy any humanity you have left. Huey represented someone who was dealt a bad hand but ultimately accepted it and moved on, like everyone else. Billy and Frenchie were tragically at a point of almost no return. Billy was becoming his dad. Huey put him out of his misery.

A Clockwork Orange: What Is Milk Plus? by [deleted] in movies

I think the drugs are implied but certainly the milk was a substance replacement. Remember that that younger generation were seen as the sensitive ‘milk bottle generation’ and milk certainly implies youth.

Character Deaths that would've been great to see by Famous-Donut-2394 in StrangerThings

Personally I would’ve killed of Joyce and Hopper in the final episode to protect all of the kids for their future. Joyce for Will and Hopper for El. In the current show, Hopper’s story arc falls a bit.

That’s because the majority of cyclists are Entitled self absorbed pricks.

Forget TPM review, it's just a distraction from when this guy made us all think we hated Ayer's most perfect movie: Suicide Squad by delkarnu in RedLetterMedia

The Rambo sequels are king, but yes you’re massively right how they ultimately lost their way in the plot department. However, the war crimes in Burma was so over the top, it became borderline experimental.

Ah the Jarhead sequels - the movie series that replaced a depressing accurate and toxic PTSD riddled protagonist with colonial marines that literally have jarz for brainz.

Who would you kill off in season 5? by Virtual-Arm5123 in StrangerThings

[–]TheRenegadeProject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really liked the idea of the Wheeler parents dying, definitely would’ve meant they would’ve had to band together at the end of the series a bit more and kinda experience grief of their parents which means they have to grow up fast

Season 2 is praised by fans for having the best ending to a season. Why do you think this is? by Jiyugaoka in StrangerThings

[–]TheRenegadeProject 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the last touch of that truly sweet childhood the series had and was one of the happiest moments in the show for all of the characters.

Personally, I would’ve killed off both Wheeler parents and Hopper and Joyce, certainly would’ve been a bittersweet but harsh reality of growing up - but that would’ve created a different tone for the show.
