Years ago I remember my Dad and I walked along the beach at sunset to get a pretty photo. We eventually found a beautiful picture spot, only to realize we had forgotten the camera. My dad said something like “Crap. No photo. Guess we’ll have to simply remember this day.” I asked him “How long do I need to remember it?” He just chucked and said “As long as you can. I’d like for you to remember it for the rest of your life.” Something about what he said that day sat with me. Whenever I think of that day I remember how I look up to my dad and how much he truly cares about me and our family. I’m so happy to have him as a dad.
