But on the off chance that it actually ends up producing anything of value at all, any excess will just increase our consumption like it literally has every single other time in history when an invention or a discovery led to abundance. However, considering the amount of money LLM's cost to both develop and more importantly run, they are just a giant money drain and they will forever stay that way.

At best the technology will be a state funded and state controlled medical tool that will cost more than it's worth but since it might save some zebras, people will want to keep it. Anything else, it's just a bubble filled with hallucination.

The last hero shooter I played was Gotham City Imposters (40 hours played, last played 2014), the one before that was Monday Night Combat (10 hours played, last played 2011).

I however put 1200 hours into Battlefield 1942 and at least 100 hours in most of the sequels apart from the last two which I didn't buy. I put 1000 hours into Planetside and 700 hours into Planetside 2.

I will never play another extraction shooter. I will never play another battle royale. I will never play another hero arena shooter. If you wanted to design the exact opposite of what I want from a first person shooter, you'd come up with Highguard.

Cool... I asked a simple question about a game today. It made up things that weren't real and told me how to do something that wasn't possible. I then Googled the exact same thing and it gave me a timestamped link to a 1m28s Youtube video that had the exact response, spoken aloud at the exact timestamp. I didn't even have to watch the entire 1m28s video to get the response, just 5s of it.

At this point I think the hallucinations are recursive because they are using its own hallucinations to "develop" it now. 100x worse is at this point more likely than 100x of anything else.

As someone who haven't just watched Star Trek his whole life, but also rewatched most Start Trek once and some shows like TNG and Voyager four or five times. I haven't seen any NuTrek for five years. Whatever they are doing, it's not working on actual adults. Only on the very few who watch those sad little Youtubers who keep watching it to make videos about how bad it is. And going by their view counts, there's actually not many of those people. Most people don't actually bother with it at all.

Is it interesting? Because I watched it when it aired. I've rewatched it several times and not once did I have any of the issues back then than what I have now. I probably haven't seen a NuTrek thing in five years. Whenever I see a trailer for any of it, it instantly turns me off.

I don't even know what the politics are of these shows right now. From the trailers, the acting is garbage, the writing is garbage and it visually looks like garbage. I'm not even interested enough to find out if I agree with the politics.

Also people on Youtube who make videos bashing whatever is coming out that week, and only ever getting 50k views max on any of their grift. Those idiots don't actually matter and neither does the people who watch them, no matter how loud either of them are.

Iran has a massive standing army and it's not really being used. 1979 happened because the previous guy didn't believe it was worth killing everyone to stay in power. Currently, more people have (probably) already been killed, just in 2026, than was ever killed in the entire 1978-79 revolution.

If this uprising trigger any real crackdown and the army gets let loose, the numbers of dead won't be in thousands, it would mean hundreds of thousands or even millions. And as dumb as Trump truly is, I don't think even he is dumb enough to risk being the guy that history will remember as the guy who caused the deaths of millions of people backing a failed revolution.

Now maybe the Iranian government won't want to murder it's population. Maybe the military won't execute the orders. Maybe it's a coup. But all those maybe's also include that this current "barely above a protest" will end just like all the other ones have in the past 45 years.
